Arrive in Manali on your own. Hotel accommodation will be provided. In the afternoon, take a half-day acclimatization walking tour, covering Manali village, Hadimba Temple, Old Manali, Van Vihar, and Mall Road through pine forests and local villages (2-3 km walk). Depart early for Leh, passing through some of the most scenic and adventurous roads in India and Asia. Stop for lunch at Pang, where Changpa nomads operate small tea and snack stalls before reaching Murrey Plains (60 km of open plains). Enter Ladakh and its small villages.
