Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi to Samburu - Arrival and Wildlife Safari

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning and driven to Samburu Game Reserve.
Arrive in time for lunch and check-in to the chosen lodge.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive at Samburu Reserve.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2 Shaba & Samburu - Wildlife Safari & Overnight Stay in Samburu

Breakfast at the lodge.
Spend the whole day in Shaba/Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives.
Packed picnic lunch during safaris.
Return for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge in Samburu.

Day 3 Transfer to Aberdare - Afternoon Game Drive

Early breakfast and leave for Aberdares National Park
Lunch enroute or late lunch at our lodge of stay on arrival.
Head on an afternoon game drive.
Meals and overnight at our lodge.

Day 4 Transfer to Lake Nakuru - Game Drive & Baboon Cliff Visit

Start the day with an early morning game drive.
After breakfast in the lodge, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and arrive in time for lunch.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive and visit Baboon Cliff.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5 Transfer to Masai Mara - Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive in time for lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge in Mara.

Day 6 Masai Mara – Full Day Wildlife, Optional Activities, & Overnight Stay

You can opt for an optional early morning hot air balloon safari followed by champagne breakfast (additional cost).
After breakfast, embark on a full day of game viewing in the Masaai Mara Game Reserve.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool.
Optional visit to Masaai Village to learn about their culture.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge in Mara.

Day 7 Return to Nairobi - Departure

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the park.
Return to the lodge for a full breakfast and depart from the park.
Drive back to Nairobi via Narok, arriving in the afternoon.
Drop-off at your hotel or transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We wanted to cover a lot of ground, and were going from one agency to another before we found Donwel as most agents couldn't quite squeeze everything we wanted into our itinerary. Judith and Christine however made it all possible. Good quality stays everywhere, regular communication through the trip to ensure we were ok and were getting what we wanted.
