Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi - Visit David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Meet and greet by our representative.
Transfer to your Nairobi hotel for check-in.
Visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to meet baby elephants (additional cost).
Dinner at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Day 2 Nairobi to Masai Mara - Wildlife Safari

Early breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve.
Check-in at your safari lodge/camp.
Lunch at the lodge.
Afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five and the Great Migration (seasonal).
Dinner and overnight stay in Masai Mara.

Day 3 Masai Mara - Full Day Safari, Cultural Tour, & Overnight Stay

You can opt for an early morning hot air balloon safari (additional cost)
Breakfast at the lodge.
Full day of game drives in the Masai Mara with packed lunch.
Visit a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience (optional).
Return to your lodge/camp for dinner.
Overnight stay in Masai Mara.

Day 4 Guided Walk in Masai Mara - Transfer to Lake Nakuru & Game Drive

Start your day early with a guided walking safari.
Breakfast at the lodge.
Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Check-in at your lodge.
Lunch at the lodge.
Afternoon game drive in search of flamingos and rhinos.

Day 5 Transfer to Eldoret - Cultural Exploration

Breakfast at the lodge.
Depart for Eldoret, a vibrant Kenyan town.
Enroute visit to a local tea plantation and factory.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Explore the local market and learn about Kenyan culture.
Check-in at your Eldoret hotel.

Day 6 Eldoret to Kampala - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to the border and cross into Uganda.
Arrive in Kampala, Uganda's capital city.
Tour ends with drop-off at your preferred location in Kampala.

Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

The entire trip was handled with extreme professionalism by both Janet and our g (Read More)uide Bonnie. We got to see the Big5 within 3 days of our itenary and more on the next days. Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We didn't feel rushed throughout our tour, because it is designed very well to accomodate enough rest. 10/10 recommend

We didn't expect Kenya to be so cold, so at some places we missed warm water for (Read More) wash

From the very beginning, Christine and Judith from Donwel Tours were highly atte (Read More)ntive to what we were looking to get from our first ever trip to Kenya, and Africa, for that matter. We wanted to cover a lot of ground, and were going from one agency to another before we found Donwel as most agents couldn't quite squeeze everything we wanted into our itinerary. Judith and Christine however made it all possible. Good quality stays everywhere, regular communication through the trip to ensure we were ok and were getting what we wanted. Special shoutout to Teeman, our driver who absolutely fantastic, drove safely and ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trip, regularly coordinating with Christine. This is an excellent team and we would highly recommend their services.
