Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Colombo - Transfer to Kandy
  • On arrival at airport, a driver will transport you to Kandy.
  • On the way, take a tour of an elephant orphanage.
  • Later, drive to view point, Gem museum and workshop, woodcarving and workshop and the Temple of Tooth.
  • In the evening, watch a Kandy culture dance performance.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
  • In the morning, visit the Botanical Garden at Kandy.
  • Later, drive to Nuwara Eliya.
  • On the way, visit to a tea factory and plantation.
  • Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.
  • In the morning, drive to Tissamaharama.
  • On the way, visit Rawana Falls and Buduruwagala Temple.
  • In the evening, enjoy a 4x4 Safari through Yala National Park.
  • Overnight stay at Tissamaharama.
  • In the morning, drive to Mirissa
  • En-route, stop at Hummanaya Blow Hole. 
  • Spend the day at Mirissa Beach.
  • Overnight Stay at Mirissa.
  • Start the day with a 6.30 AM whale watching trip at Mirissa.
  • Later, short trip to Galle.
  • If time permits, visit Stick fisherman's Koggala and Sea Turtle Hatchery & Galle Fort.
  • Followed by drive to Airport via southern expressway for onward journey.
