Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati - Shillong | Visit the Biggest Artificial Lake in Meghalaya (114.9 km, 3 Hours)

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Meet your travel accomplice on arrival, who will take you to Shillong. On the way, visit the stunning man-made store, Umiam Lake (Borapani). On arrival check into your hotel and spend leisure time at the Police Bazaar in the evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 Shillong - Dawki Shillong (81 Kms, 3 hours)

After a good heavy breakfast start your journey towards Laitlum Canion. The scenic hill slopes of Laitlum are often called the amphitheater of Meghalaya. After that travel to Dawki Island to be found within the Umngot River. Do different experience activities (on your own) like Boating, Kayaking, Sculling, Zip lining, etc on this island. Visit Mawlynlong which is the cleanest town in Asia. Visit the Double Decker Bridge and stay overnight in Mawlynlong.

Day 3 Shnongpdeng/Dawki - Jowai - Cherrapunji (122 Kms, 4 hours)

Wake up to see the beauty of East Khasi hills. Eat Breakfast and start your journey for Jowai to visit Phe Phe Falls & India's most magical waterfall: Krang Suri Waterfalls. Get drenched and swim in the natural pools. Travel back to Cherrapunji after witnessing this attractive place. On the way visit the Garden of Caves, Arwa Caves, 7 Sister Falls, and then check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji

Day 4 Mesmerize the beauty of Cherrapunji/Nongriat Village (53 Kms, 6-7 hours Sightseeing, 4 hours hike)

Enjoy a lip-smacking breakfast in the morning. Start the trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat). Once you finish your sightseeing for the Double Decker Root Bridge youll head to grasp a stunning view of Nohkalikai Falls, Dainthlen Falls, Wei-Sawdong Falls, Mawsawa Falls, Lyngksiar Falls, Mawsawdong Falls, Wah-Kaba Falls. Day 5 Mawphlang Sacred Grooves & Shillong Local Sightseeing (122 Kms, 3 Hours, 39 Minutes)

Have a delightful breakfast & start your journey towards the Mawphlang Sacred Grooves. An untouched forest that is the soul of Khasi culture, Mawphlang is home to the most celebrated of all the 'law-kyntang' or ancient sacred grovesof Meghalaya. Day 6 Shillong - Guwahati | End of Trip 117 Kms/3 Hours)

Check out of the hotel and prepare to transfer back to Guwahati as early as possible. Visit the Famous Kamakhya Temple. Proceed to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. You will then take on your return journey and bring this experience to an end.

What's Good: We had an awesome trip to Meghalaya. Thank you, Hemant, for advising on a good programm, for quick response times, and organizing nice accommodations. Also our driver Maznour was k (Read More)ind and we felt safe with him. We enjoyed Maznours repertoire of Bollywood songs on the road. The program was great with a good balance of activity and free time. We enjoyed hiking in the nature. We go home with many beautiful memories. Thank you!
What's Not Good: Minor suggestion: It would be helpful to add in the program description at which places swimming is possible to be able to pack swimwear in the morning.
