Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Welcome to Cappadocia

Welcome to Cappadocia! As if plucked from a whimsical fairytale and set down upon the stark Anatolian plains, Cappadocia is a geological oddity of honeycombed hills and towering boulders of otherworldly beauty. The fantastical topography is matched by human history here.

Upon arrival, you will have a transfer to the hotel. (Transfer will be on a shared basis and will operate at a specific time only). Check-in at the hotel (standard check-in time post 15:00 hrs).

Day 2 Cappadocia Sightseeing - Full Day Goreme City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel, departure from the hotel for Full Day Goreme City Tour.
Firstly, you will stop to take photos at UC Guzeller, which are famed fairy chimneys in Cappadocia.
Next, visit Goreme Open Air Museum, where this religious education was started.
You will visit the churches, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimneys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with frescos painted on the walls.
Return back to the hotel.
Recommended Optional Activity: Hot Air Balloon Activity (At an Additional Cost) (It can be operated on Day 03 or Day 04, subject to weather conditions)
Please Note: Kindly be advised that children below 6 years old or less than 120 centimetres in height are NOT allowed on Hot Air Balloon.

Day 3 Cappadocia – Day Free

After breakfast, the day is at leisure, or you can opt for a Private Tour of The Valleys and Underground Cities of Cappadocia.
Board your vehicle and visit the Rose Valley - famous for its rock-cut churches. Also, visit Cavusin - an old Greek village known for its Christian houses and churches.
Later, visit the Ortahisar Castle and Kaymakli - the underground city where early Christians lived in fear and faith.
Also, visit the Pigeon Valley to understand how pigeons contributed to the lives of locals.

Day 4 Cappadocia to Istanbul

After breakfast and check out from the hotel, proceed to the Kayseri OR Nevsehir Airport for your flight to Istanbul.
On arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5 Istanbul Classic & Highlights Tour

After breakfast, experience Istanbul’s timeless sights on a full-day tour of the city’s stunning historic places.
Listen for the ancient echoes of pounding hooves and charioteers at Hippodrome Square and spot the distinctive tiles of the Blue Mosque.
See the Byzantine mosaics and minarets of Hagia Sophia and then follow in the footsteps of powerful sultans, courtiers, and generals at Topkapi Palace.
Finish your tour in the vibrant Grand Bazaar, browsing bright displays of handicrafts, carpets, and souvenirs.
End of the tour; return back to your hotel.

Day 6 Istanbul – Day Free

After breakfast, you can personally opt for an entirely local experience of Istanbul.
Pass through Golden Horn shore and visit Pier Loti Hill.
Climb the hill with a short cable car trip. Pier Loti Hill has a fantastic view of the Golden Horn and Istanbul. While you enjoy the picture, you will drink tea/coffee (included in the price). In addition, you will have the opportunity to taste ‘gozleme’.
Then take the cable car to come down and visit the Balat neighbourhood.
Next, we will visit Karakoy, where the cruise port is.
You can taste Turkish veg/non-veg street foods and visit the most well-known desert shop in the city, ‘Gulluoglu’.
Next, we will drive to Ortakoy, which is a pretty small neighbourhood just on the Bosphorus and just under the leg of the Bosphorus Bridge.
Finally, we will continue going through Bosphorus and reach Bebek- It is also a very nice point to swim at the Bosphorus.
You can taste Bebek’s famous almond butter.
Then you can have ice cream from the historical ice cream shop.
Return to the hotel.

Day 7 Departure

Breakfast at the hotel, check-out formalities and free time depending on the flight home.
3 - 4 hours before your departure flight, you will have a transfer (Transfer will be on a shared basis and will operate at a specific time frame only) from the hotel to Istanbul Airport.

We looked through 5 agencies before settling on D organizers for our Turkey trip (Read More). Initially we were sceptical due to the reviews, but we were glad to have booked with them. The trip was well organised with 2 days in each city of which one day was a full day guided tour and the second day was given free for self exploration . This allowed choice for my parents to rest on the second day since they were approaching their 60s . I would especially like to thank Bhargav who maintained good contact and communication with us throughout the whole trip from the beginning to the end from the visa process till we reached back home after the trip. I also feel that their rates are economical and budget friendly compared to the other agencies we first spoke to.

One of our transport vehicles from the airport to hotel during the trip in Ist (Read More)anbul was filled with the smell of cigarettes . One of the vehicles had an airconditioner problem in pamukkale though the driver was a sweet person.
