Day 1 Arrival in Dharamshala
  • Transfer to your hotel in McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala.
  • Check in at your hotel and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
  • Explore the Dalai Lama Temple Complex It’s an excellent place to learn about Tibetan Buddhism.
  • Visit the Tibetan Museum located nearby, offering insights into Tibetan culture and history.
  • Walk around the McLeod Ganj Market, filled with Tibetan handicrafts, souvenirs, and clothing.
  • Head to Naddi Viewpoint for panoramic views of the Dhauladhar mountain range.
  • Alternatively, visit Dal Lake, a peaceful place surrounded by deodar trees
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in McLeod Ganj.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Head out to Bhagsunag Temple and Bhagsu Waterfall (approximately 3 km from McLeod Ganj). Take a short trek to the waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery.
  • If you're up for the adventure, begin the Triund Trek. This moderate trek (about 7-8 km one way) takes approximately 4-5 hours.
  • If you opted out of the trek, visit the Norbulingka Institute (10-12 km from McLeod Ganj).
  • Visit the Tushita Meditation Centre for a short meditation session.

  • Check out from your hotel and begin your journey to Dalhousie (about a 4-5 hour drive, 130 km from Dharamshala).

  • Explore the Chamba Chaugan, a large open ground surrounded by temples and scenic views.
  • Return to Dalhousie in the evening.

We had lots of requests/changes while creating the itinerary, Parul was very patient in listening and worki (Read More)ng on each one of them. We were initially skeptical of making on-line payments to a travel agent we had never seen or heard before. However JourneyCook was thoroughly professional and each payment was acknowledged promptly.
