Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival-Srinagar Airport with Local Sightseeing

Arrive at Srinagar Airport. Assistance on arrival and experience our prompt transfer to the Hotel. After that, visit the famous Mughal Gardens Nishat Garden(Abode of Pleasure), built by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Jehangir, Shalimar Garden(Abode of love), built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan, Botanical Garden, Chasmashahi and Pari Mahal. All the gardens are situated on the banks of Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan mountains in the background. Overnight stay in Hotel at Srinagar.

After breakfast, go on an excursion to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold). About 83 kms will be covered in 2-1/2 hrs. Sonamarg lies in the Sindh valley stream, which has flowers and is surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan lakes. Enjoy horse riding up to Thajwas glacier and sled riding on snow. Late afternoon drive back to Srinagar. Overnight in Deluxe Hotel at Srinagar.

After breakfast, a full-day trip to Pahalgam (valley of shepherds). The distance of about 100 kms will be covered in about 3 hrs. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipora ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), and Mattan (Holly fish Shiva Temple) see the beautiful countryside on the way and a lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. After lunch, have bridle walks and feed your cameras with pictures of magnificent views of the mountains. One can visit Aru Valley, Baitaab Valley, and Chandanwari by hiring a local Union Cab or ponies(at one's own cost). Evening returns to Srinagar and overnight stay in Hotel at Srinagar.

After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts above sea level. The distance of 60 kms will be covered in about 2 hours. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. 0ne can also have the view of Nanga Parbat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek up to Khilanmarg which can be covered in about 3hrs.Also enjoy sledge riding on snow or Gondola ride (Cable car) up to Khilanmarg to enjoy the fascinating view of Peerpanchal range and for pony ride.Evening return back to Srinagar and overnight stay in Houseboat.

After breakfast enjoy the day in breathtaking views of Dal Lake.On time transfer to Srinagar Airport to catch your flight for onward destination with sweet memories.

What's Good: We liked every aspect of the tour to Bhutan. The tour and travel agent M/s A V travels Jaigon has done a great job to make the tour very much enjoyable. The hiking to tiger's nes (Read More)t was a challenging one for us the senior citizens ( excluding my son) but gave us much satisfaction. The guide Mr. Tashi was of great help and care. Thanks one and all.
What's Not Good: The fees charged at some places we felt bit higher.

What's Good: ## Bhutan Experience Our journey through Bhutan was largely impressive, with knowledgeable guides who showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes with g (Read More)enuine enthusiasm. The drivers navigated the winding mountain roads with skill and professionalism, ensuring our comfort throughout most of the journey. However, our second night at Paro Rema Resort fell short of expectations in terms of dining. The food quality was disappointing compared to other meals we enjoyed in Bhutan, lacking both flavor and presentation that would be expected at a resort of this caliber. ## Sikkim Portion The transition between destinations proved problematic. Our transfer from Bhutan to Gangtok felt unnecessarily rushed, with a driver who seemed more concerned with completing the journey quickly than ensuring passenger comfort or allowing us to appreciate the scenic route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, we were pleased with our hotel's prime location on MG Road, offering convenient access to local attractions, shopping, and dining options. Unfortunately, the hotel's service standards did not match its excellent location. Staff responsiveness was inconsistent, and several basic amenities were either missing or required multiple requests. Overall, while the Bhutan portion of our tour delivered a memorable experience, the Sikkim segment would benefit from significant improvements to transportation and accommodation service quality.

What's Good: Our trip to Bhutan was unexpected and was very last minutes plan, however our agent Reshma from Yolmo holiday successfully made it worth of money and time both… our guide Sonam De (Read More)na and driver Thupten were both the best I could ever tell, they are very kind and were very adjustable when we changed our itinerary the last minute. We are so satisfied with our trip and will definitely recommend them to our friends and family circle.
