Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Haridwar to Barkot
Today, proceed to Barkot.

En route, have a look from the road to Kempty Fall, The most fascinating and the most significant waterfall. Upon arrival in Barkot, check in at Hotel Barkot. It is a place of great scenic beauty with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains all around & located on the foot of Yamunotri Overnight at hotel.
Morning drive to Jankichatti (Approx 02 hrs drive) From Jankichatti, start trek to Yamunotri (06 kms/Approx 03 hrs one way)

Yamunotri (Altitude-10,800 FT): is the source of the holy river Yamuna and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna.  The Yamunotri Dham is the first hallowed destination of the Chardham Yatra. This Dham is committed to Goddess Yamuna, who is regarded as a daughter of the Sun God (Surya Dev). Upon arrival here, you can take a holy dip in Taptkund (Hot water spring) before entering in the Temple.e Visit Yamunotri Temple & Divyashila. Later, trek down to Jankichatti & drive to Barkot Overnight at the hotel
Today, proceed to Uttarkashi, situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi, which is famous for its historical monuments, Temples, & Ashrams. Upon arrival, check-in at the  hotel.

 Later, visit Vishwanath temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples. A massive iron trident, symbolic of divine mothers’ has been erected and worshiped from time immemorial at the temple complex Overnight at the hotel
After breakfast, proceed to Gangotri En route and take a holy dip in the hot water spring at Gangnani. Most devotees take holy dip in this natural hot water spring before heading toward Gangotri

GANGOTRI : (Altitude-10,250 FT) : is the source of the most holy river “The Ganges” called Bhagirathi. According to Hindu legends  river Ganga descended from heaven to earth at Gangotri, when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from his locks

Continue drive to GANGOTRI & Upon arrival, dip at the sacred river Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. After the dip, visit Gangotri Temple, the highest and the most important temple of Goddess Ganga. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi. En route, enjoy the beauty of Harsil Valley. It is famous for its natural beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains. Overnight at hotel

Today proceed to Guptkashi En-route have a look for beautiful “Rudraprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Mandakini)  Upon arrival Guptkashi, check in at hotel Overnight at hotel

Kedarnath(Altitude-11,750 FT): One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name for Lord Shiva, the protector, and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and, while fleeing, took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed, he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface.

Today proceed to Badrinath via Chopta Chopta, a picturesque hamlet still unexplored by travelers, is also famous as "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand". En route has a look for “Karanprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Pinder), “Nandprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Nandani), and “Vishnu Prayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Dhauli Ganga) Continue drive to Badrinath & on arrival check in at hotel.
Badrinath(Altitude-10,200 FT): is an important pilgrimage site that holds immense importance for Hindus and Buddhists. Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The area where Lord Vishnu pondered under a Badri tree for thousands of unremitting years and taught us a definitive method for the welfare of humankind is exceptional on the planet. Overnight at hotel.

What's Good: All destination Hotels and their Breakfast were excellent but suggest you to add fruits and Bread/Toast Butter/Jam as option for children and some time for adult also.

What's Good: I'm delighted to share my exceptional experience with Welgreen Kerala Holidays, expertly managed by Mr. George. Our customized tour package exceeded our expectations, blending comf (Read More)ort and memorable experiences. Hotel selections were impressive: Hotel Sea View at Kanyakumari offered breathtaking sunrise views and delicious food. Hotel Germanus in Madurai, Hotel Soma Palmshore in Kovalam, and Hotel Taika in Rameshwaram provided pleasant stays with good food and courteous staff. The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available. Some valuable tips for future travelers: verify temple timings and dress code regulations in advance to optimize your itinerary. Ladies can find lovely, affordable sarees and dress materials. Engaging local drivers or guides can also enhance your experience. Mr. George and Welgreen Kerala Holidays deserve 100% marks for crafting an unforgettable trip with thoughtful hotel choices and a well-planned itinerary. What's Not Good: The houseboat experience was outstanding, with mouth-watering local cuisine, including an unforgettable fish fry. However, hot water for bathing was not available and no more activities at the shore. Rather we would have preferred to stay in a hotel and take long ride of houseboat in the afternoon to late evening would have better.

Every part of travel good. The approach road to hotel Vagamon Vagashore at Vagamon and room service at Thekkady hotel named Kumly gate were poor .

Resort and hotel suggestions to suit my budget and strategically selected closer to places of interest was truly 5 star service from the agent. My solo trip was made safe and comfortable. Great sugge (Read More)stions were made to choose places to visit to make the trip fun, enjoyable and memorable. This awesome trip in a very long time was fun and refreshing. The paradise in Kerala will transcend your soul to haven. People are welcoming and friendly. I recommend Varkala tranquil beeches and Kovalam backwaters for the ultimate fun experience. Gods Own Country’s Kitchen is recommended for some great food and live music on the Varkala cliff point. If south temple architecture peeks your interest, then there are a few gems from ancient times hidden here to explore maintaining sanctity and faith in true form. Solo travellers pay couples rate which can be heavy on the purse. South India need to warm up to the idea that solo traveller numbers are increasing, male and female alike and in all age groups. Not only the cost of travel but people’s outlook need to change. Most of the temples here are only for believers in faith. Kanyakumari was crowded during the Diwali break. The seashore here is only to soak in the view. Thiruvananthapuram Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple darshan was divine however fleeting it maybe, but the mandapa which adorns the beautiful sculptures is out of bounds for devotees. The Garbhagudi could be well lit, so the devotees can properly catch a glimpse of the lord and be blessed. Since architecture is out of bounds recommend special entry for swift darshan.
