Day 1 Arrival
  • Arrive at Paro Airport and proceed to transfer to Thimphu.
  • Spend the day at leisure and enjoy a relaxing walk in the valley.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
  • After breakfast go for sightseeing.
  • Visit Memorial Chorten, Mothinthang zoo and Viewpoint.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
  • After breakfast drive to Wangdiphodrang.
  • Drive through Dochu La pass and visit Punakha Dzong.
  • Continue to Wangdiphodrang for an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, go for a full day Gangtey excursion.
  • Visit the Gangtey Gompa in the Phobjikha Valley.
  • The Phobjikha valley is also home to the rare Black Necked Crane which migrates from the Tibetan plateau in winters.
  • Return to Wangdiphodrang in the evening.
  • After breakfast go for drive to Paro via Lobesa.
  • Walk through farm houses and fields to Chimme Lhakhang Monastery.
  • Lunch at Thimphu (optional) and drive to the Simtokha Dzong.
  • Overnight stay at Paro.
  • After breakfast go sightseeing around Paro .
  • Visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong, Ta-Dzong National Museum and Rinpung Dzong among other places.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
  • After breakfast, check-out from hotel and transfer to the airport for onward journey.
