Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival
- Arrive at Paro Airport and proceed to transfer to Thimphu.
- Spend the day at leisure and enjoy a relaxing walk in the valley.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 Sightseeing around Thimphu
- After breakfast go for sightseeing.
- Visit Memorial Chorten, Mothinthang zoo and Viewpoint.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 Wangdue Phodrang
- After breakfast drive to Wangdiphodrang.
- Drive through Dochu La pass and visit Punakha Dzong.
- Continue to Wangdiphodrang for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Excursion to Gangtey
- After breakfast, go for a full day Gangtey excursion.
- Visit the Gangtey Gompa in the Phobjikha Valley.
- The Phobjikha valley is also home to the rare Black Necked Crane which migrates from the Tibetan plateau in winters.
- Return to Wangdiphodrang in the evening.
Day 5 Travel to Paro
- After breakfast go for drive to Paro via Lobesa.
- Walk through farm houses and fields to Chimme Lhakhang Monastery.
- Lunch at Thimphu (optional) and drive to the Simtokha Dzong.
- Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 6 Exploring Paro
- After breakfast go sightseeing around Paro .
- Visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel Dzong, Ta-Dzong National Museum and Rinpung Dzong among other places.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 Departure
- After breakfast, check-out from hotel and transfer to the airport for onward journey.

We were accompanied by guide Mr. Tshering who made everything very special sharing with us wonderful things and details about Bhutan making the trip more enjoyable along with very good driver Mr. Wangchuk who made our driving experience even better around the beautiful hills of Bhutan.

From the moment we landed at Bagdogra airport, everything was beautifully organized — smooth transfers, comfortable stays, and a thoughtfully planned itinerary that allowed us to truly experience Bhutan’s serene beauty. Nothing felt rushed, and each day was well balanced.
A special mention to our guide, Sangay Nidup, and our driver, Amber, who made the journey even more memorable. They were knowledgeable, patient, and always ensured our comfort. We didn’t just visit places — we experienced the culture, food, and hidden gems of Bhutan.
Our package included three hikes in Thimpu, Phobijika valley and Paro. Our guide, Sangay made all hikes very enjoyable and informative sharing his past experiences. He also gave suggestions for shopping in Thimpu/Paro and took us to the local markets and helped us experience the local lifestyle. He was very helpful in taking photos during the trip.
The highlight of the trip was the hike to Tiger’s Nest — challenging, but absolutely worth it. The views and the entire experience were simply magical.
