Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi, Leisure Day
- You begin your magical holiday today as you board your flight to Kenya - the heart of African safari!!
- On arrival at the Airport, you are met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
- The rest of the day is at leisure.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2 Transfer to Nyeri, Stay in Tree Hotel
- After breakfast, leave Nairobi in the morning to arrive the small town of Nyeri in time for a sumptuous lunch at the base hotel before leaving for the tree hotel in the early afternoon.
- The afternoon is spent watching the early arrival at the waterhole and salt lick, usually antelopes.
- As the evening progresses, larger animals like elephants and even rhinos join the procession to the waterhole. Their appearance would be a signal for smaller animals to depart.

Day 3 Day at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club
- After breakfast, a short drive brings you to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, which is situated at the foot of Mount Kenya (17,058 feet).
- Here you can have a day of total relaxation in the beautifully landscaped gardens. Activities include golf, tennis, horseback riding and swimming in the heated swimming pool.
- Meals and overnight at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. (BLD)
Day 4 Transfer to Nakuru National Park
- After breakfast, the tour crosses over the top of the Aberdare range of mountains, stopping briefly to gaze at the 73m Thompson’s Falls, named after Joseph Thompson, the Scots explorer who was the first European to see the Falls in 1884.
- Continue to Nakuru for lunch.
- After lunch, drive around Lake Nakuru National Park for an unforgettable sight of the thousands of flamingos on the alkaline lake. The park also includes rare white rhinos. The other large animal to be seen is the Rothschild’s giraffe. The vegetation is mostly savanna type with both the back (fever tree) and umbrella top acacia growing in abundance, as also Euphorbia.
- Enjoy an afternoon game drive.
- Meals and overnight at a lodge in Nakuru/Naivasha. (BLD)
Day 5 Transfer to Masai Mara, Afternoon Game Drive
- Breakfast at the hotel and time enough for some bird watching en route to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch.
- An afternoon game drive during which it would be possible to locate the huge black-manned lions, for which the reserve is famous.
- Meals and overnight at a lodge/ camp in Mara. (BLD)
Day 6 Full Day of Game Drives in Masai Mara
- A full day of game viewing and exploring in this Kenya’s finest reserve or alternatively a morning game drive followed by an afternoon swim in the cool water of the hotel swimming pool followed by yet another game drive.
- You may witness the lion making a kill or a leopard enjoying the meal he had dragged up the tree with him. The vegetation is mostly savanna type with forested areas near the rivers and the dwarf acacias to cater for the giraffes. More than 60 species of animals are found here and countless bird species, this includes the Masai ostrich and the secretary bird. This is where the great migration of the wildebeest takes place.
- Meals and overnight at a lodge/camp in Mara. (BLD)
Day 7 Transfer to Nairobi Airport, Tour Ends
- After breakfast, it's time to check out and drives back to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch. Lunch on your own.
- Later transfer to the JKI Airport for your onward flight. (B)

1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp.
2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality.
3. James is very knowledgeable.
4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious.
5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details.
6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it.
7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.

The entire trip was handled with extreme professionalism by both Janet and our g (Read More)uide Bonnie.
We got to see the Big5 within 3 days of our itenary and more on the next days. Janet was very thorough with our itenary and helped us throughout and Bonnie knew all the best spots on all of our game drives. We didn't feel rushed throughout our tour, because it is designed very well to accomodate enough rest. 10/10 recommend
We didn't expect Kenya to be so cold, so at some places we missed warm water for (Read More) wash

From the very beginning, Christine and Judith from Donwel Tours were highly atte (Read More)ntive to what we were looking to get from our first ever trip to Kenya, and Africa, for that matter. We wanted to cover a lot of ground, and were going from one agency to another before we found Donwel as most agents couldn't quite squeeze everything we wanted into our itinerary. Judith and Christine however made it all possible. Good quality stays everywhere, regular communication through the trip to ensure we were ok and were getting what we wanted. Special shoutout to Teeman, our driver who absolutely fantastic, drove safely and ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trip, regularly coordinating with Christine.
