Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Pickup from Delhi and Drop to Shimla
  • Arrive at Delhi.
  • Pickup from our company representative and travel to Shimla.
    Check-in the hotel.
    After some rest, visit Christ Church.
    Built in 1857, the church is known for its neo Gothic architecture.
  • Then visit Gaiety Theatre and Scandal Point.
  • Evening time can be spent at leisure and is free to explore the famous The Mall, Lakkar Bajjar Market and The Ridge.
  • Overnight stay Shimla hotel.
  • After breakfast, start for Fagu valley.
  • Stop at Kufri and Chini Banglo.
  • Later see apple orchards in Mashobra.
  • Also visit Naldehra which is famous for its dense forest.
    Take a jungle walk.
  • Later on the day back to Shimla, visit Jakhoo Temple.
  • Overnight stay in Shimla hotel.
  • After breakfast, start for Manali.
  • On the way, stop for sightseeing like SunderNagerLake, Pandoh dam and Kullu.
  • Reach Manali in the evening.
  • Overnight stay and dinner at Manali hotel.
  • After breakfast, you will visit Solang Valley.
  • Later on, visit Rohtang Pass.
    *Please note that Rohtang Pass is only open between May to October.
    Rohtang Pass is situated 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions).
  • On the way back, you can enjoy Gulaba and other waterfalls.
  • Reach back to Manali in the evening.
  • Spend the evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay Manali hotel.
  • After breakfast, visit the 450 years old Hidimba Mata temple situated in dense forest.
  • Then proceed to Van Vihar, Mall Road, Tibetan monastery and handicraft centre etc.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure or walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht.
  • Vashisht is known for its hot sulphur springs, etc.
  • Spend the evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Kullu hotel.
  • After breakfast, visit Manikaran.
    Manikaran lies in the Parvati valley of Kullu district and is known for the several groups of hot water springs emerging at various locations spreading up to a distance of about 1.3 kms along the parvati river from the old bridge to Brahmaganga. 
    The springs at Manikaran come out to surface with pressure and water are very hot. There is no sulphur or iron mixed in the waters, but it is said to be radioactive. The water of these springs is so hot that pulses (dal), rice, vegetables etc. can be boiled and cooked in it.
  • In the afternoon, travel to Dharamshala.
  • Overnight stay and dinner at Dharamshala hotel.
  • After breakfast, visit Dharamshala local attractions like Mclodeganj, Dal Lake, Bhagsu Nag temple, cricket stadium, and Kangra fort, Brijashwari temple.
  • Reach Dalhousie in the evening.
  • Overnight stay and dinner at Dalhousie (Khajjiar) hotel.
  • After breakfast, visit Khajjiar.
    Khajjiar is known as Mini Switzerland of India.
  • Visit sightseeing places around like Kalatop and Dainkund etc.
  • Arrive at Dalhousie in the evening.
  • Overnight stay in Dalhousie hotel.
  • After breakfast, leave for Amritsar.
  • Visit Jalianwala Bag, Durgiayna Temple, Golden Temple and Wagha Border.
  • Check-in Amritsar hotel in the evening.
  • Overnight stay and dinner in Amritsar hotel.
  • After breakfast, check-out from hotel and proceed for airport/ railway station for your onwards journey.

We had lots of requests/changes while creating the itinerary, Parul was very patient in listening and worki (Read More)ng on each one of them. We were initially skeptical of making on-line payments to a travel agent we had never seen or heard before. However JourneyCook was thoroughly professional and each payment was acknowledged promptly.
