The room was very tired and depressing looking.
We had booked a Cottage Twin in which beds could be made into king because no Cottage Kings were available upon booking online. A few days before arrival I called to see if any Kings freed up and was told they would try to accommodate us. Unknowingly, we were given a handicap-equipped Cottage King when we checked-in. We carried our own bags on the walk to our room.
The noise from Montauk Hwy was so loud! Our booking said soundproof room. No way would I want to sit outside on old, dirty wicker furniture with all that noise anyway.
Our booking said walk in closet. Since this was a handicap room there was no big closet, just a sliding door with a light that turned on whenever there was movement in front of it.
With taxes, we paid close to $1700 for one night!
We were in for a wedding nearby and thought we would enjoy a luxurious, boutique stay. Definitely not! We complained to the management and were given a small price reduction. This was not even prime season, no reason for the exorbitant price tag.
I will not return. Any motel on the highway would have felt like this or maybe better for a fraction of the cost.
