    The room was very spacious and the outside jacuzzi with the view of the mountains was great. The food was very nice too, especially in the Underground. The staff was friendly and helpful.
    The check-in process was rather long.

    -many small hickups in the service during our short stay; some things/requests were never followed up on (preauthorization, different pillow), delivered wrong (in-dining), etc. -very smelly carpet or sewage leak on our floor L11 -substandard breakfast options for Western taste compared to LeMeridien, RadissonBlu, Taj etc -too limited stock of plates, bowls -substandard dinner buffet; its simply not tasty and way iverpriced compared to other leading hotels

    Great ambience/ friendly staff / good restaurants with varied choices for all palates .
    I loved the choices offered for the breakfast with friendly staff in Desi aroma especially a staff named Amen. Also excellent service rendered by the reception ( Denny ). Would recommend another restaurant called underground.

    Not upto my expectations
    The best thing about the hotel was their underground grill restaurant, the food and staff there were warm and great.
    The location,right next to the road, not enough room to wander. I expected more from the room facilities, given it's a 5-star hotel. For eg, the mini fridge was empty, it should have stuff there that could be charged. There was no bathrobe or slippers, that i usually see in other 5star hotels. The reception staff were not all that warm or welcoming, their smiles seemed forced. Not even a "thank you for staying with us " when checking out. There were workers walking all about outside the hotel, near the swimming pool. I actually saw the worker throwing broken pots onto the hills below!! All in all , if i were to choose this again, i would not. Value for money, certainly no.

    Truly a spectacular view of Munnar and the hotel stays up to its name. Just wonderful!
    In my opinion, this would be one of "THE" place to stay while visiting Munnar. Excellent hotel room view, jaw dropping panoramic view from the roof top infinity pool (just amazing) and food is great at the restaurant. If I could have, I would have extended another day just to spend the day at the hotel. Very clean, great food options and spectacular view of Munnar
