Disappointing

The overall impression from my stay is influenced by the behaviour of the personnel and the owner. They do not know how the reservations via booking.com works. I made my reservation a day before my arrival and I had a discount from the total price based on the last minute reservation, offer for mobile phone app and Genius programme. When I arrived there was a new receptionist (no computer, just his private phone) who was telling me I should pay higher price and that the total price I could see in my app is without the tax. Then he called the owner and the whole discussion went on. They clearly did not know what offer they have on booking.com. Finally I paid the price I should (the price in the app) but after a very long and unnecesarily discussion. We were woken up by roosters at 4.am that stroll through the golf course.

We enjoyed but not worth of money

Location and staff

Dinner we ordered and it was very tasty but breakfast was not up to the standard. They gave me a very small room; the bed is NOT comfortable and small for two people. room entrance was a very small narrow staircase and was uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly but very difficult to find them as no intercom facility. During the night, outside was very noisy as the hotel was situated in the heart of the city area. The bathroom was very small and hot water system was not properly functioning. It's not consistent and suddenly heat goes up and down.

Lovely authentic (to this city) hotel

Beautiful old building that brings you at least a hundred years back. Cozy and well thought of interior, friendly staff and a good view at a golf court. It really reminded me of England's rural cottages

Breakfast omlet was too oily and the sausage was almost tasteless but it's still was okay

Old and In need of renovation. Very central.

The room was very clean and the staff is friendly. Especially the man who took care of the breakfast, was always available. It is very central, just a walking distance to the city center.

The hotel is very old and overall old-fashioned. Many walls had humidity. Due to this, we had to change rooms which was more expansive.

Clan and nice place to stay in Nuwaraeliya. they provide foods and free Wi-fi , such a good place.

Best place

The owner, Prabath, is the kindest and friendliest host ever! Our room was beautiful very comfortable and clean, big beds and pillows. Best shower in sri lanka- hot water 24/7 and good stream! The view is amazing and good breakfast!
