Poor
I could have slept on a bench at the airport for free and had just as good of a sleep
Staff were great.. location excellent..good for those that can't afford a private room in Toronto
If this is all your budget allows then it might be your only choice. You may luck out with good roommates..for me? one guy kept me up till after 1 am with his coughing.. I just fell asleep when him and another guy snored in harmony. To me it wasn't worth saving $50-80 to compromise privacy and have my own room somewhere else... sharing a bathroom with 5 other men..no TV.. and now I have a cough..never again.

Passable
Just know it's not a standalone single bed and probably you'll not have a good sleep.
The location is great as you can see on the map. Areas were so clean (bathrooms, the kitchen, and beds). The breakfast was acceptable (cereals, bread, butter, fruits). The common areas for socializing were also good.
To begin with, I had anticipated a solitary bed, as explicitly mentioned in both the written description ("1 single bed") and the logo (indicating a non-bunk bed arrangement) for a shared room. I picked this place thinking it had a single bed, as it was stated in both the description and the logo. If I had known it was a bunk bed, I would've definitely gone for something else. The person on the top bunk kept moving around all night, making it hard for me to get a decent sleep. When I brought this to the receptionist, she behaved me so rude and said: "I have other works to do."

Good
Accessible, Convenient, and Decent Premises
The courteousness of the staff. The downtown location is accessible by public transport. And the cleanliness of the room was better than of the overall premises. I like that there were free, minimal breakfast options and an ample kitchen space with equipment to prepare food for those staying longer.
Unfortunately, the homeless encampment is some metres away from the location, and hearing middle-of-the-night noises of urban sketchiness outside from the room I was staying, which faces above the back of the building. (The room where I slept has no window but a fire escape door with a frosted glass pane concealed by a curtain.) One of the staff members assured me that a security guard would patrol the premises in the evenings after being informed at reception the room was in an another building two doors away. However, there were no safety issues; use common sense and trust your intuition.
