In hospitality business, I believe your behavior and politeness is your actual USP. They have construction works going on for the upper floors. So rest of the rooms on the second floor are not well maintained. Linen and bedsheets given initially were uncleaned. Changed when requested. No telephone and TV connection in the room. No hot water in the bathroom. Well there was electricity issue I understand. The owner has informed me that the property is a homestay. 5000 bucks for a homestay room is impossible! Although, the description has different story to tell. We talked to the owner on telephone. He was unapologetic if not rude. On the next day, his manager told us that we were not required to pay the bill of food! When I asked for the bill of the room, the staff said he couldn't give. There was surprising requests from the staff to leave the room at 11 am while I had received a mail from Booking.com saying your request to check out in between 12 - 1 pm has been approved by the owner !!!!!!!!! I had to show this mail to the staff, just imagine. Why don't they close the property for some months, complete the construction works and restart it with a grand look and trained staff? And Sir, please share me your gpay/phonepe no, I am ready to send you the food bill that you have waivered. It is not more than Rs 1500/-. My unflinching trust on Booking.com has even shaken a bit due to this unexpected experience.
