Feeling ripped off.

Location. Staff pleasant, although the check in system took forever.

Although the property is only seven years old, it has been allowed to get really run down since Covid. When it first opened, it was a good alternative to the Bolton or the Intercontinental. Now however everything is looking a little bit shabby, and the facilities are spartan to say the least. I stayed in 901, a small room, where there was no bottled water provided, nothing in the minibar, only a couple of items in the bathroom amenities kit, a less than fresh-looking bathrobe and the only toiletries were plastic pump bottles screwed to the wall with pumps that barely worked. The breakfast is similarly basic dry cereal, toast etc., and a couple of cooked items on request at extra cost. The Accor website still describes it as a luxury 5 star hotel, and it is still priced accordingly. There is NO WAY this is a five star experience. I guess the Accor people havent been to this hotel for a while and seen what the franchisee is doing to their brand.

Passable

Service was poor. Everybody said bonjour (LOL) but then if you asked for anything, it wouldn't happen. I waited for 45 mins for service and then had to remind twice to get the tea I ordered. I was promised my account on email but it never came etc.
