Disappointing

The location is superb. Room cleaning has been reinstated as daily and we loved that. We asked for our room to be cleaned early each morning and it was. GREAT!!!! The pool attendants were excellent, friendly, happy to chat. It is less expensive than most properties on Kalakaua Ave. Perhaps at the cost of the comments below.

We can account for four visits to this property (1990, 1995, 2022 and 2023) and I think there was a 5th visit somewhere in the past 40 years. This is by far the worst room we've had at this property. By the time we agreed on that, we'd unpacked and if we had complained, we reasoned, the best they could do would be to offer us a different room. While the room is not great, it isn't worth the move. (We do not think the hotel is full. The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is a very big hotel. We are sure there are rooms available.) Based on our first 27 hours in the hotel: we slept for 8-9-10 hours. We were on the beach for about 8 hours. So, moving rooms: not worth the effort. What's bad about the room: - It's tired (same as last time, April, 2022), but two years more tired. Requires a major renovation. - The in-room fridge is too small. I think the same as last visit, but maybe we bought more groceries. - Worst of all, the room's location. Hard to describe but further "inland" and the view is poor (although if we try hard enough we can still see the sea from our balcony (or lanai as they call it here); last visit we had a beautiful view out over the pool and they the main road, the Moana Surfrider Hotel and the beach and ocean). The previous stay, we were further towards the ocean whereas now we see more of the other hotel wings and the city. - Last time we had an easy chair in the room and this time that is missing. I peeked into a few other rooms on this floor and none had an easy chair. For the rest it's the same room as last time despite the room being tired two years ago. Additionally, we arrived at the hotel at 13:30 (we know check in is 15:00). We told the front desk agent at the Kaiulani of our previous visits. The agent was not very friendly and we were not assigned a room until 14:55.

Hotel is Okay but can be better

I like the filipino staff, very friendly, especially the Housekeeping. Location is nice close to everything.

There is no microwave in the room. A small one should have been convenient. The restroom is quite small.

Beautiful staff, beautiful view, but the bathroom is disappointing.

The staff are great. Clear in their speaking and helpful. The pool looked beautiful and the place is lovely

The bathroom in the room is very outdated and disappointing. Very small and does not match the room and views at all. I did not like the bathroom at all and if there were photos online with the room, I would not have booked it.

Great location with lots to do!

Location is amazing with a 2 minute walk to the beach and lots of food places. The view from the room was great, seeing both the beach and city. The staff were super friendly and the beds are super comfy!

I found it a little overpriced for the size of the room. The bathroom was quite small as well, in the future if I were to stay here - I will definitely upsize to a bigger room. The laundry space could do with a bit of a clean too.

Wonderful second visit, cannot wait for next visit, truly the best location for Waikiki.

location-location-location You just cannot get a better hotel at this price in this superb location. The entire staff are marvelous, housekeeping best ever! we have enjoyed this hotel for a second time and cannot wait for another visit.

Hotel needs a little modernizing- power outlets in bedrooms need a little bit of creativity, being a somewhat older property, there are not enough for todays essentials, iPhones, iPads etc.
