Very friendly staff. I got a free upgrade to a Presidential suite even though I had booked a normal suite. Very diverse breakfast options.

Not very baby friendly food options. We were told the mashed potatoes were finished and the Chef was not willing to make an extra one.

Sea View Hotel: a nice place to stay but can do with some repairs and a good attitude among staff...

The views and location of Sea Cliff is always something to behold. We have stayed there several times and we never get tired of the view and location. The hotel is nestled on a fantastic cliff giving you a front seat view to Indian Ocean and excellent ambience at night with ships in the Indian Ocean awaiting to dock and offload their wares at the Port of Dar es Salaam...

This was our 4th or 5th time to stay at the Sea Cliff Hotel in the post Masaki area of Dar es Salaam in the last two years and it was a bit of a disappointment unlike other times when everything was perfect. This time around, on our first night we were given a room which was very dark (room 230) and we had to insist on being given another room the following day. We were re-located to room 122 which had good lighting but the bathroom drainage was not working, the blockage was so bad that it would take over 30minutes for the water to clear. Also the shower place was not well covered and every time one showered, water spilled all over the bathroom... We had requested an upgrade to a Sea View Room in view of being regulars but the hotel never responded to our request. After complaining about the status of the two rooms we had been given we thought the leas the hotel management could have done to placate our feelings would have been to upgrade our rooms given that we were staying for four five days and four nights but alas, the management was least bothered.

Great location outside the city centre. Wonderful Indian restaurant.

A lovely location out of the city centre over looking the sea. Ideal for one night at the start or end of your trip. It is about 20 minutes by taxi to the ferry terminal and about 50-60 minutes to the airport. While the hotel is large and has all the usual facilities, it does have a corporate feel to it. The Indian restaurant serves magnificent Indian food and would go so far as to say it is the best we have ever had - having eaten in many Indian restaurants over the world including India.
