The Johari Rotana impresses with its polite and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms, and amazing food. The hotel is conveniently located near the Zanzibar ferries, bus rapid transport, supermarke (Read More)ts, and restaurants. Some guests noted that the rooms are not soundproof and there was a slight decline in waitstaff, but overall the hotel provides excellent service and accommodations. The food is delectable and the ambiance enchanting. However, finding the hotel and parking can be challenging.

Very nice

Very nice room and a wonderful breakfast.

The fact that I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children and only one bed was available. However, an extra bed was provided at request.

The place to stay for catching a ferry to Zanzibar

We were transiting to catch a ferry to Zanzibar: perfect location right opposite the ferry terminal. A quality hotel as well - so we were happy travellers

Not a part of Dar Es Salaam you would chose to stay for several nights. The better restaurants and districts are a taxi ride away
