Great location, helpful staff, fabulous breakfast, kitchen facilities excellent but would prefer a full enclosed bathroo

Location was ideal - only a few minutes from city centre; breakfast was gorgeous with lots of choice; spacious room we didnt feel closed in and there was plenty of space for all my stuff as I dont travel light; large comfy bed; the sliding doors provided lots of lovely fresh air and coolness which I needed; kitchen facilities were excellent with oven, microwave, fridge, utensils plates etc. we reported the tv not working and the toilet flush getting stuck and the staff were friendly, helpful and went straight up to our room to sort it out. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful but not over facing. They were available if you needed them but didnt push themselves on to you.

The sink was outside the shower room and the shower room and toilet only had a sliding door that didnt lock so the bathroom area lacked privacy and I didnt like the sink being outside in full view of the bed so washing and doing teeth etc wasnt able to be done in private. Also the tv didnt work until I managed to find an unplugged aerial wire and but even after that a lot of channels were pixelated or unavailable. Although the tv is not a priority, I think if they are going to provide one it should have a good selection of channels that work properly eg satellite channels not freeview ones that are hit and miss with the signal.

Enjoyed the stay but would not probably stay at this hotel again.

Liked the location, breakfast not bad, staff helpful. Nice size living room very bright.

Bed uncomfortable and too small, pillows not good quality. Shower too small, no shower gel on our arrival which sounds petty but shouldnt be the case for the money paid. Sink area outside of bathroom. No room between the bed and dressing room to sit comfortably, flooring tired as chipped in places. Tables (side one) in lounge needs replacing. We were very happy to pay the money quoted as stayed in Marriott hotels before but felt this was a ripoff just because it was over the New Years Eve period.

Very good

A great base for our walks into the City. A very comfortable residence.

Breakfast was organised in the ground floor reception on a daily basis.Sufficient quantities of the various food stuffs were available for paying guests. Staff were most helpful for all manner of enquiries.

Availability of seating could be a problem in the mornings within the breakfast area.

Good

A good, basic hotel, close to the historic cirty center

Nice location, close to the historic city center. Spacious room with bonus tableware, microoven, refrigerator and dish washing machine. Quite responsive and helpful staff.

Breakfast buffet was Ok, but should include more food items and variety. Room and also public areas cleaning, needs improvement.

Practical room for family, contained all amenities which are essential for family to rest and also enjoy hot food

It's a good location but definitely needs some

Location is convenient. Breakfast buffet has a good selection

Room was very 'tired' looking. Issue with the dishwasher so they just unplugged it. Broken socket outlet. Hardwood floor had water damage. I had to look for something dropped under the bed. It obviously had not been cleaned or vacuumed under it for a long time. The cleaning staff were not thorough to say the least
