Great stay overall. Steve is a great bartender.

We did not have the breakfast. Nice to see the restaurant ordered full menu but tend to enjoy a complimentary breakfast when dining at hotels. Again, this is my opinion and understand that hotel's don't always offer complimentary breakfast.

Bed was a bit hard.

Perfect get away in downtown Des Moines

Gorgeous decor and over the top friendly staff. Was given a complimentary upgrade without asking. Shuttle driver was awesome - took us to the music venue for a concert and picked us up. Love this hotel.

The only recco would be a refresh on the rooms carpeting. It was super clean, just showing some wear and tear.

Don't have your guests pay for WiFi--el cheapo!

Location was nice. Receptionists were very nice. And, the Aveda soap/shampoo was a very nice touch. We bumped into RFK, Jr. who went inside, presumably to stay! While filming him, he invited us to take a selfie! Jogging in the a.m. was very safe!

The fitness center was a bit lacking. They can invest in their equipment a bit more. Don't have your guests pay for WiFi! Even $5 is too much because it's WiFi, and we can get it for free elsewhere.

This place was probably good once many many years ago.

Great location downtown.

Air condition didnt work in our room in a heat wave. The room was 80 degrees when we arrived. Went to the front desk and they sent someone to fix it before we went out for dinner. Came back and it had broken again. The person at the front desk at that point refused to speak to me, only speaking to the night security worker and telling him to go up and fix it. I tried to ask multiple questions and she wouldnt even look at me. The elevator is slow and very shaky, it feels like its about to go out. They cleaned the carpets while we were there and the smell made me nauseous.
