Very good

A great NYE

The location is perfect, great pool bar and selection of drinks and food. Friendly staff and we had a great view from our Ocean suite.

It felt like a kids club around the pool everyday. There is a fight to get a sun bed each day and there was a large group of Russians who took up half the pool area each day so we could never get a bed around the pool as they had put towels down since 7am.

Disappointing

The room was big and the bed was comfy. If you walk 10min on the beach, you'll find lots of nice restaurants (ps. this was something that was not informed by the hotel! Don't know why...).

Right in front of the hotel, there is sewage that falls onto the beach. It smells, it's filled with bubbles and it's green. So even though the beach looks nice, I would never go in and risk getting seriously sick. This was a huge letdown because the hotel greatly publicizes that it has a great beach (and this was one of the reasons why I booked it). Nobody says that there's sewage over there and that the quality of water is extremely poor in that particular area. (Please see attached pictures!)

Proximity to beach, room setup

I stayed there for 1 night for NYE celebrations nearby. I ordered room service as I was hungry before the event which gave me food poisoning (I didnt eat anything else all day). Im not surprised to be honest as the hotel was a mess and they seemed to care more about their NYE celebration rather than the hotel operations. I will never stay here again and to be honest, the stay ruined the brand Novotel for me.

Overall just ok

Very good location right at Kamala beach. The mattress is the most comfortable then all other 5 stars hotels. Amazing.

The swimming pool area aged. Broken beach chairs, most incredible is cigarette is on one of the beach chair!! Breakfast seems a lot of selection but not good taste to me.

Not worth the money and would not stay in the hotel again

Location on the beach is fine and a lot of activities around the hotel

Hotel was closed for 2 years during covid, however still looks the same... Renovations not done, plastic Sandbags along the shoreline/stairs to the beach. Overall value for money not what would be expected. Limited selection at the breakfast buffet. Superior room with Backyard view. Rooms not cleaned on the first day and still leftovers from earlier occupants found. Lobby looks more like a hostel entrance than a 4star hotel. Definitely not worth the money.
