My dog was anxious and nervous the entire time there. I travel a lot, and my 5 1/2 year old dog has slept in literally dozens of hotels, in tents, random strangers homes, and in our car, and he has NEVER acted this way, but from the minute we walked in the door, he was miserable. I'm guessing that they put all the pets in the same room (first floor, right next to the exit door to the pet area) because my guy was sniffing everything and completely freaked out the entire time. I got less than four hours sleep and we were on the road by 6:15 in the morning because my guy was so freaked out. It would be nice if they actually did the "deep cleaning" that they supposedly do to justify the pet fee, which is actually $20, not the $10 it says if you read the FAQs on the booking.com website for the hotel. I'm done using Booking.com until they can accurately tell you what the actual pet fee is. Their site just says "Pet fees may apply" or similar, and even if you go to the frequently asked questions to find out what the pet fee is, there is no way to know if it's accurate. On the two reservation I booked for the first part of my trip, the pet fee listed in their FAQs was wrong. It's almost like they put something intentionally misleading knowing you'll likely just accept whatever rate they decide to charge you at check in.
