Very good

We loved how cute it was, and how nice the staff were. It was a lovely place to come back to after a full day in Edinburgh.

Honestly the only thing we had trouble with was the WiFi. It was slow.

FREEZING COLD FOR THE WHOLE STAY!!

The location is great, residential and quiet neighborhood, lots of public transportation options nearby. Although it is possibile to walk to both the Old Town and the New Town areas, a minimum 20 minutes walk needs to be taken into account. Theres an electric heater which I recommend using if you dont want to freeze. Theres a set of spare blankets which were also really of use.

We got to the property on a Thursday night in late November with around 0 degrees celsius outside and a pretty strong wind. When we arrived at the front door, a sign told us to call instead of ringing the bell. We couldnt call because of foreign roaming but we had some GB included in our plan so we texted the host on Booking. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes outside in the freezing weather. Moreover, when we got to our room on the second floor, it was again freezing cold. The host had just turned the heating on but it felt like 10 degrees. It was impossible to even shower. At night, we tried the shower and found out the hot water was hard to regulate because of a weird setting. At first, we had to continuously switch from boiling hot water to freezing cold. It was really frustrating and upsetting. Finally, the host told us we had to find the right regulations (SHOULD BE EXPLAINED BETTER). Nevertheless, the room and shower temperature was a really big struggle and probably resulted in my mom catching a very severe cold at the end of the stay.

Very good

The furnishing style and wallpapers are very cute. The location is also very good just on the corner between a main street and the suburbs. The owner is very kind and even gave us a heating fan when we got cold at night.

Kind host but uncomfortable stay

Host is super helpful, easy to communicate with and let us check in earlier. Room was tidied up every day.

Heater is turned on from 10 pm until 6 am but my room felt really cold all night. I felt cold all the time in this place. Shower and toilet are outside the room and separate from each other in different rooms. Shower is in a small closet. Rug in my room was dirty and low slanted ceiling made it hard to move around. Also the place was a half hour walk from the main attractions.
