Guests enjoyed Sunday lunch with good quality food, friendly staff, and a spacious, modern bedroom. They received helpful suggestions for a private event from professional staff. The hotel's unique i (Read More)nterior design and great views over the marina and sea were appreciated. Another guest celebrated a birthday with afternoon tea, well taken care of by attentive staff, and enjoyed the food with their family. Superb

Fantastic base to explore Sussex with all the amenities of Brighton on the doorstep.

Fantastic room with great views and all the amenities required. We loved the bed, and the balcony was an exciting place to watch the waves crashing in from the channel. The restaurant and bar was great - with the staff really friendly and helpful at all times.

Disabled access to the hotel is not great - the boardwalk from the carpark is long and exposed to the elements. On one day, the lifts failed and while staff were kind enough to let us know they didnt inform us when they were fixed which left us confined to our room for much of the day. The hotel was also short on a range of standard items (coffee pods, extra pillows etc) possibly due to the holiday period.

Good location with free parking and good public transport to Brighton and along the coast.

We had a drink in the bar at about 9pm but were surprised to be disturbed by a large family group with 3-4 young children who were treating the entire bar space as their playground - screaming/shrieking and running fast around the whole bar area, one of them banging a toy on every table he passed. Neither the adults in the group nor reception or bar staff seemed to think this was a problem. This continued for many minutes (probably 10mins) and was continuing when we left - prematurely.

Okay

Allocated a room adjacent to interconnected room with a family who notoriously are noisy. Packing bags through the night with zero consideration for others. Hotel have been made aware previously?

It was fine for one night, but it was underwhelming, and a bit tired.

Good interiors and signage.

The 3 x reception staff were looking after 1 x person when we arrived, so we had to wait to check in for about 10 minutes. They were friendly though. Room smelt damp/like someone had just been asleep in that room and vacated. Lighting was awful, cleaner cupboards were open every time we walked past, staff did not know where a local restaurant was and couldnt directly us.

Excellent location

The location has a good variety of restaurants and bars. Hotel is lovely as were the staff. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was very comfy.

Unfortunately the breakfast lets the hotel it down! There is a good variety of pastries, cereals etc, but the area its in is too small for the amount of people and my cooked breakfast was burnt! The fried egg was very hard and the tomato was more black than red!

Disappointed and underwhelmed

No heating in room, told no other rooms avaliable and given portable heaters! This was nearly 300 for 1 night! Trolleys left everywhere with dirty room service on Not enough staff working NYE horrible quiet vibe Restaurant disaster, shoved in the corner and forgotten, food items forgotten and zero check backs This was supposed to be special for our engagement! Malmaison Brighton I do not recommend. Stayed in room 335. Waiting on Frasers Hospitality Ops or HO to contact me ASAP for a resolve.
