Disappointing

Disappointed. Location good, but not the room I expected with the pictures they have here

The only good thing about this hotel was the location, which is close to the metro and in a walkable distance from some specific squares and sights.

Firstly, they show two different rooms in the pictures of the room you choose here on Booking, and, of course, give you the bad one. I was expecting a room with a CITY VIEW. This was written on my room choice, as well as some pictures with a nice city view. When I get there, they give me a very small room with a terrible view of other buildings. Secondly, they charged me $100 PER NIGHT as a temporary hold. That should be told before we conclude the reservations. Of course, if I didn't accept it when I was checking in, I would face the consequences of not refunding my reservation. The elevator broke when we were there. Nothing too much, but as it seems a very old building, I don't know how often that might happen. Nothing for breakfast. Not even a card for basic breakfast. I had better experiences with other similar "big" hotels where at least they give you a card to use for breakfast, as we are not paying cheap. If you're going for a short trip, the location is good. If you want comfort and are looking for a special place with someone, I highly recommend you search for something else. There are better options.

I didn't want to leave

The staff the staff the staff!!!!!! Did I mention the staff? Everyone was so wonderful. They were friendly, down to earth, and so helpful. They deserve a raise lol. Also, the room, location, Cafe, restaurant were all fantastic.

The hotel was tricky to see. There isn't a big entrance and I passed it a couple times before I finally saw it.

Excellent location, comfortable and reasonably priced

Location is terrific, easy access to Common, North End, Seaport. Comfortable bed, helpful front desk staff. On the 11th floor with views out over interesting older buildings. Quite quiet despite being New Years Eve!

Room was nicely appointed but small with space only for the bed, fine as long as you are mostly there to sleep
