Not relaxing... over priced for the situation

The room was nice/ clean

My garden view was a view of the lobby with a few bamboo and all the heaters were stored outside in our patio.. but.. we were moved due to the staff on strike and literally picketing right outside our room... super loud, went in for hours.. double charged for parking, once at check in and again at the gate to leave ( cash only, convenient). Over $40 for 2 drinks in the bar and could not enjoy any meal due to the super loud noise of the picketing...

We loved the location of this hotel. We had a beautiful view from our balcony of the water and could see the Queen Mary. We could walk over super easily and quickly. We loved that we had a large balcony to have a coffee on in the morning. The staff were super friendly and helpful from check in to check out. I also super appreciated that they had gluten free cookies on check in We also had a great meal at the hotel restaurant Fuego.

For the price of the room (which was expensive), it was small and it was dirty (dirty floors and super dusty) which was a disappointment. There was a broken piece of furniture in our room that we couldnt use as well. When I spoke to the front desk, someone was sent to clean right away, which was super appreciated, but as a first impression, we were disappointed. There was also some sort of protest (yelling and banging pots or something) in the morning of our second day which was frustrating as it was our first day on our trip to sleep in. We still had a great stay, just expected a bit more for the price of our stay.

Exceptional

What a great place! We stayed in Bldg. 3. Nice spacious clean rooms, great staff, wonderful views of the bay (especially at night with the lights), liked all of the campfires around the property with nice outdoor seating and the food at Fuego was delicious. We even got a free shuttle ride to the port. Will definitely come back to visit again.

I wish we could have stayed longer.

Superb

A convenient one night stay on the water

We had booked a jetski trip to Catalina Island and stayed here for one night due to its proximity to the jetski departure site. The room was a good size overlooking the bay and close to the QM1, which we had an evening drink at. The staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. We had an evening snack and early breakfast at the restaurant which was quiet with friendly and efficient wait staff.

The location

All if the staff was on strike and were picketing from 7am to 7pm, with drums, megaphones, etc, and was impossible to sleep in...not to mention many amenities were unavailable....all of this and I was still charged full price

Superb

My daughter got married nearby so many family and guests stayed here, making it a wonderful time.

Room on first level with incredible view was wonderful. I was always able to find a parking space near my room. The shuttle to a nearby restaurant was very helpful.

It was a bit expensive.
