Ideal hotel if used as a transit hotel

We were going on a cruise and the proximity to the port was excellent, shuttle bus($5.50) takes you right to the ship.

Hotel was a little tired and needed a little updating but ideal for our needs

The staff was very helpful.

When I booked the Crown Plaza, I was under the impression that the shuttle service would take me to the Carnival port. The shuttle goes to all of them except Carnival. I had to pay a taxi to take me there. Also, most Crown Plazas I have stayed offered free breakfast as a given. I had to pay $21 for breakfast.. So, I spent an additional $51. I stayed there for 2 days and paid over $400 with no accommodations at all.

THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD

NEVER AGAIN Liked Location next to Cruise Terminal Disliked Got there at 3:30 to check in on Friday night for a cruise the next day. Did not have a room ready. Finally got a room at 7 p.m. So many people there at same time trying to check in. Took an hour standing in line only to wait for a room. Management is very incompetent and stupid, and does not care about you. Not enough help. THEY JACK UP RATES ON PURPOSE WHEN CRUISE SHIPS ARE LEAVING NEXT MORING. Over $400 for one night. The Shuttle is very slow. Guy who works there coordinating the shuttle said he was quitting in a week because of bad management
