Location is quite accessible and not far from railway station. Rooms and toilets were clean

We lost three hours due to delay in getting some services, like checkin, cleaning etc, They promised free pick and drop to railway station, though the pick up was free, the drop off was charged. The food ptices in restaurant is exorbitantly high.

Good location and rooftop, ask to see rooms

The hotel's facade is impressive and looks smart and their upstairs bar Saru, is extremely attractive. Very beautiful design. Their rooftop restaurant spacious with friendly staff and a big menu which was prepared well. Their are some very nice motifs painted on ceilings, and in rooms, etc. We liked the neighbourhood as it was an easy point for tuk tuk drivers to find and good to walk from. We found the staff busy but pretty friendly.

We booked very last minute on a busy holiday week so were prepared to be probably disappointed, seeing past reviews. It feels like the management is trying to fix up hotel from top down and unfortunately the triple room we booked was on ground floor with a tiny tiny window and bathroom. We had to ask for top sheets as none supplied, making you lie under a dubiously clean top blanket. The rooms we had were a little underwelming and we did feel they could use a clean or refurb. We asked to move and the manager was happy to show us options but being New Years holidays, they were busy. Though to his credit they did try and showed us a few.. On our 2nd night, we settled in a double room next to reception, much brighter but small which was fine for us but others probsbly wouldn't agree to it. Again no top sheets on bed which was a bit disconcerting.

Extremely disappointing stay.

The stay at the hotel was extremely disappointing. As per booking.com the payment was to be made at the property, but the hotel chased me from a day before the stay to pay atleast 50% advance. After that they made me pay the balance at the time of the check-in itself. The room that they offered was like a servant quarter and when I refused to take that room, they gave me one which was right behind the reception and till like midnight we could everything that was happening at the reception. The bedsheet wasn't changed, it was a used bedsheet. The blanket was dirty. The location of the hotel is also bad. Its in a lane in the middle of a residential area. The staff was arrogant and were only interested in money. Not courteous at all. Overall it was an absolutely disgusting experience staying here.

There are many good options strewn in Jaipur, hotel kalyan is overpriced and staff is rude.

Hotel kalyan is basically a glorified Bar on the top floor with some very small rooms downstairs. The food is good and that's about it.

Food is good but pricy, basically for a family of 7, the food bill will outweigh the stay bill. The staff is very rude, especially the guys sitting in the front desk. Other staff is Ok. This bar cum hotel entertains lots of foreigners and thereby the service to other people is kind of lags behind and this hotel has very small rooms. Not at all recommend for a stay when staying with family. The overall attitude is that if any inconveniences happen, the guest has to adjust with it. Said that, if you want to enjoy good bar and food, the rooftop bar "Rasa" is good. But do not stay with family, I had very bad experience there and due to various inconveniences, I had to shift to a different hotel nearby, where the room were double the size and we could complete our stay in Jaipur.

Like the rooftop

Room is very small and not good in the reservation price. Also they add up 740 rs of the food which was not taken. Later when we enquire they paid the money back.
