in Enmachi

although it is a budget hotel, it was comfortable and clean. there was free coffee/tea and breakfast. the area was perfect as it only took 10 minutes to get to the centre by train, and the area had good bars and restaurants if you just wanted to hang around the neighbourhood.

not much to say really. I was fortunate to have a window facing the mountains and although the train station was near, it was rather quiet.

Perfect for a quick stay.

I liked the provided toiletries and the room felt neat and clean. Breakfast was good, simple toast and jam and then some self serve drinks like juice and coffee.

Its a small room, however it is Japan and this is a pretty standard size. I know its the best fit I would find for this good of a price.

Great experience. Great staff.

Good hotel, really clean rooms and helpful staff. They let me leave my luggage on my last day while I finished exploring the city. Near train station and with a few good options for a quick dinner nearby.

Breakfast does not have many options. Do not expect to fill up before going out. Location is ok, but I later found out that the train line (where the hotel is located) is a bit different from the subway lines. Since Kyoto station is really big, it is a bit hard to find the right train to get to the hotel when you first arrive. If you have only one day on the city, the train might hinder your mobility a bit.

good business hotel

good location if you do not intend to do the typical Kyoto tourism days and dont intend to spend all night in gion. its a business hotel with no frills and extras, the bed and bath is good, the hotel, especially the rooms are very clean.

the breakfast could be better, the tables/chair are in the reception area, its not very comfy looking, the entrance area (outside) is a bit of a mess
