Great location, great facilities, big comfy beds :D

The hotel was great, clean, and in the perfect location for me, which was close to the airport. The staff were super friendly as well, knowing that I was traveling for new years eve, I was expecting chaos, but really didn't notice any. One member of the checkin staff was even kind enough to check if there were any extra available rooms I could switch to and provided all the options for me (more on that below.). Parking is available, but it was $35/day, not really an issue but just would have been good to know beforehand. The beds were comfy with lots of pillows and a thick blanket for extra coziness. The bathroom was a little smaller than I'd expected but not an issue at all, and was clean and well maintained/seemed new. Harbor Island itself is an amazing viewpoint looking over the ocean, the city skyline, and Coronado Bridge in the distance, with even more moor'd boats on the other side; a really relaxing vista overall.

The only complaint I had was about my room with regard to it's location in the building as a whole. I stayed in room 325, and reserved a room with a balcony, and a view of the water. And while I did have a room with a balcony and a view of the water, it also had an obstruction: the roof of the carport/main entrance of the hotel. Being on the 3rd floor is high up, but not really high enough to have an unobstructed view of the water/city (see image below). It's not really an issue that can be avoided in terms of occupancy, it's more the consideration of the overall construction, though a little warning at the initial check-in would have been nice. That being said, after check-in, I went back downstairs to ask if there was a different room a little higher up that was available. The person I spoke with was super nice, super helpful, found a few remaining options (again, new years eve, so I wasn't expecting there to be much anyway) but the other options were overlooking the parking lot a bit more, so overall I decided to stay in the room with roof obstruction. In the end, the main goal wasn't to spend all my time in the hotel room anyway so it really didn't matter too much, but it is a small thing to consider for future reservations.

When we arrived there it was construction in the hotel when I reserved the hotel they did not tell us is going to be construction on the property the selling it was too loud even the manager put the earplug on her ear asking to give us some discount but they didn't

Scenic sea stay

Located in my favorite part of San Diego, tucked away on the marina arm. Quiet, scenic, and the hotel is equipped to meet the needs of most travellers for sure. Clean, comfy, good value for the area.

The restaurant was okay. Meal was lackluster with the typical hotel restaurant price tag on it.

Superb

Nice view, great location. The staff at the hotel bar were friendly and professional. The menu, however, was meh. The appetizer I ordered was pretzel bitesthe exact same kind I buy at CostCo. And the cheese dip seemed like off-brand nacho queso. Kind of not cool for the price they charge! Still, overall, a very good stay. I'll just find another restaurant next time.

Disappointing

Don't stay here

Due to flight delays we arrived in SD at 8:30 pm. Once we picked up our luggage we called the Hilton for a shuttle. They said it would take about 15-20 minutes because the driver was helping a customer. This hotel is less than 3 miles from the airport. 45 minutes later I called again. I was put on hold for 10 minutes. What a joke. Finally got picked up (after waiting 60 minutes). We had a 7 hr flight and were very tired. We are in our 70's. When we finally checked in the person behind the desk was extremely rude! I paid top dollar for a room overlooking the marina. We got stuck in a room on the second floor overlooking the lobby. It was very noisy. Couldn't even enjoy the balcony. I visit SD often (lived there 20+yrs). Guarantee I'll never stay at this Hilton again!

Very good

All was good except the hot tub.

Beautiful view.

There was so much chlorine in the hot tub that it bleached about 3 inches of my daughters hair blonde and I had to pay for it to get fixed. It also took the hair off her and her friends arms and legs. Not good.
