Excellent Location, Comfortable, Homely Stay

The location was phenomenal. The property is very well maintained, toilets clean and the looks old world. We were a large group of extended family members, and this proved to be an ideal arrangement for us. Had a fun Mumbai trip due to proximity of this place with the site seeing places in South Mumbai. The property exceeded our expectations.

The room was big and spacious

Cleaning staff were friendly and smiley. Receptions staff made me feel I'd checked into a prison. Very mise4able. Not a place to stay if you want social. No outside communal area

Exceptional

Authentic place with carefully chosen modern features

This is the third hostel dorm I have stayed at in Mumbai and it is by far the most spacious, secure and clean. It has maintained the authenticity of old Bombay style with some modernisation to add to comfort. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are just fine and theres a cosy common area to relax/work in. I especially enjoyed the morning chai delivery and the daily newspapers that can be read on the balcony. The location is excellent for exploring Fort, Colaba and Marine Drive plus its only spitting distance from CST. Theres a delicious array of iconic eating places within easy walking distance, such as Kyani, A taste of Kerala and many more to suit your style and budget. The area feels safe at anytime of day or night. Finally, the style and architecture of Hebbars Heritage cant be beaten at the price. Highly recommended!

Uncomfortable, dirty and audaciously unfriendly Staff! Location god.

The location of the Hostel is very good.

Worst experience ever! Unfortunately everything else about the property was not good. The staff were unfriendly. I was given the feeling of not being welcome. The facilities were very basic and not enough for the amount of guests. In the first night there was some really loud machine to be heard inside the room roaring from 10 pm onwards. There was no possibility to contact anyone throughout the night. The reaction of the staff in the morning was audacious. I asked for a room change but they refused. Instead I git a number to call if there would be more problems. They knew about the sounds but gave away the room nonetheless. The second night was the same! Guess what? Nobody answered the phone! There was no staff at the place in both nights. What kind of people that are serious with their hostel business treat their guest this way. I was left with a second sleepless night and not even an excuse. All this for nearly 30 a night. Worst experience ever!!
