Great location, nice staff, but the Empire Hotel rooms are in disrepair and falling apart.

Your staff is friendly and helpful, especially the men greeting at the door helping with taxis.

This hotel has rooms are in serious disrepair and desperately need to be cleaned up and remodeled. The bathrooms are falling apart. The toilet was stained, the doors cracked, and the fake wood falling off. The room has too many problems to list. I have stayed at the Empire many times over the last few years honestly because of the location, and it's obvious you rely on your location to sell rooms. You have redone the lobby, which is good, but the rooms are becoming unacceptable. I would like to continue staying here, but the owners NEED TO REMODEL AND CLEAN-UP THE ROOMS! Another issue is my husband and I arrived at five minutes to three, which is the check-in time and the room wasn't ready. We waited over an hour to get into our room with a lobby full of other guests in the same situation. This is completely unacceptable. I am an active world traveller and never have experienced waiting like that to get into a room.

Very small room. Very old. Very noisy. Its not comfortable at all. I spent a lot of time on reseption to check in. I spent a lot of money and I fell myself like Im in hostel. Im blogger. 0 pictures from hotel. I very regret that I choosed this hotel

Thanks for a great stay!

This was my 4th stay. Empire is always my home when I visit NYC. I love the location and friendly staff.

We had asked twice about the thermostat-it seemed like it was broken. It was really warm and made sleeping uncomfortable.

The location was close to everything we wanted

It was very old and outdated, the beds were uncomfortable and the room was so dark and not well ventilated. Wasnt worth the the amount we paid it was basically a motel

The room we got wasnt the best, we had issues with the heating system and we had issues with the bathroom and for a one night stay for that price, I expected a bit better.
