Disappointing

Save your money and go to a smaller B&B in the area. Youll get the same experience.

The location is great - its the Cotswolds after all. The bar is top notch - great cocktails! The property is well maintained and historic. the room was nice and spacious.

The beds were fairly uncomfortable. The room was nice but the mattresses were just terrible quality. The kitchen was pretty terrible - we dined here 3 times. Dinner on the day we arrived: the small plates were great, the mains were kinda lackluster; breakfast the next day: everything was so over salted that we were unable to eat it, the breakfast buffet was all just stuff bought from the grocery store and pretty average quality stuff at that; breakfast on the second day: we waited one hour for breakfast and walked out. Staff - holds with the overall UK theme of staff being inattentive and just doing the bare minimum to get by. Not what I expect from a 5 star hotel with those kinds of prices. As an example, the valet couldnt even be bothered to bring us our car when we were departing and didnt even point us to the path that leads to the parking.

Nice building but definitely not a 5 star hotel.

The bed was comfy

The staff didn't seem to know what they where doing which you wouldn't expect in a 5 star hotel and they where not very helpful (to be clear they weren't rude and were nice people, it just seemed like they hadn't had any training) The room was boiling hot and not well cleaned. The spa was very small and there was people old towels and glasses everywhere. If we wanted to go for dinner we had to pre order and they said the reason was because of supplies available?

Beautiful country manor and a real piece of history

Incredible property that is worth staying at just for this reason. Food was very good, and staff were nice. We particularly liked the fact we were able to borrow walking boots and jackets

We loved it apart from one thing. It feels like it needs a deep deep clean

Superb

Catherine, who headed up the Spa was so lovely, her friendly and professional service made the visit for us, what an asset she is to the business. The rest of the staff were amazing, the people made this trip for us. The building is beautiful, set in a great location.

Lovely room excellent breakfast beautiful location

Late check in as room not available at 3 unable to use spa due to late check in this was disappointing as we did not get time to use the spa
