The DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix-Tempe received positive reviews for its retro layout, maintained landscape, and large, well-equipped rooms. Guests appreciated the variety of elevators and staircase (Read More)options for easy accessibility. The bar and restaurant offered delicious food and reasonably priced drinks. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The hotel felt safe and the warm cookies were a nice touch. While the hotel appeared sketchy from the street, guests were pleasantly surprised by the clean and cozy accommodations. The only downside was the lack of a business center.

This place is going down in quality of the building and the staff.

I like the location. Ive stayed here many times before. I as nice that the pool and Jacuzzi was actually open this time.

We had electrical issues in the room where we could not plug in the fridge and TV at the same time. We werent made aware of that and we had left over food that ended up wasting. We called the front desk multiple times and they informed us some one was on the way. No one ever came so I went to the front desk on the way to dinner to inform them we were leaving the room and if someone was still coming. The response was oh yeah, we cant fix that till after you leave I didnt appreciate that there was no follow up and they didnt even offer another room or some other type of assistance.

Disappointing

The carpet in the room was dirty , smelly and very dusty . Same situation with the AC/ heater unit which had burned smell and bad odor . We had to call the reception and a technician was sent who cleaned and deodorized the filters of the unit but unfortunately the smell was still there and was persistent The technician mentioned that if we let the unit run it would eventually run out of the burned smell but that was not the case when we tried it . So we ended up not putting the heater on .

Smelly carpet and full of dust , as well the AC/heater unit full of bad odor. Major updates need to be done in order to bring the hotel in a decent shape starting with replacing the carpet and the AC/heater units . Also plenty of problems that need to be addressed around the hotel on the walkway area near the elevators with fixtures that need to be fixed and walls that need to be patched and painted.

We just love 24 hr shuttle to phx airport

Supper Fast check in..We love free 24 hr airport shuttle..just supper convenient..staff text me see if I need anything. I love them communicating to there guest. Great customer service.

Only thing we didn't like the water was hot enough for us. It was room temp shower.. everything was great...

Nice relaxing property from the seventies! Not like the new hotels with furniture is stiff and boxy not comfortable! The hotel is like a fine comfortable leather chair

The bed and pillows were hard.
