Daiwa Roynet Hotel Ginza

Other than the location, Pretty much everything else from start to finish was disappointing. We went there and checked in, they asked for payment to be made at check in(which is unusual as most hotels require a small amount on the card to hold and take payment at checkout). I didnt have an issue and made the payment as per my booking. Suddenly the staff realised there was an issue with the booking and demanded extra 9000yen payment to be made immediately (we were only there for one night). I said they need to sort it out with Booking.com, she called Booking.com, had a long conversation and wouldnt let us check in (although we had made the original agreed payment) I nearly begged them to check in as we were tired from a 7 hour journey. They were very rude and inconsiderate, I assured them I would pay any difference at check out once the issue with Booking.com was resolved, but they wouldnt budge, I was so tired and frustrated I just paid the extra money and checked in.. We went to the rooms and they were tiny really really small, we had booked superior deluxe rooms, the rooms that we were given were on low floor and definitely not superior deluxe in any way. The table had coffee cup stains there was dust next to the bed. The bed was right against the window, so no room to move out of it.. As we were very tired we ran out of the water they provided when requested for more bottles of water the staff very rudely said they only provide two bottles per night, this was just too much for us to take. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Overall the worst experience we had in Japan or anywhere else in the world, definitely not worth the high price they charged us.
