Guests were pleased with the service at Courtyard by Marriott Portsmouth, especially when hosting a wedding party. The location was convenient with ample parking and space for buses. The rooms were c (Read More)lean, comfortable, and some had a small deck. The hotel provided a free shuttle service and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel also had a restaurant and a quiet outdoor area with lounge chairs and a fire pit. Overall, guests had a positive experience and would stay here again.

Very good

Overall a good stay. Room was nice, comfortable.

Great location, easy access, modern, lots of amenities.

The doors need better insulation. You can hear everything in the hall as if your door were open. Peoples doors opening and slamming all night and morning.

Superb

Surprisingly good!

Quite a surprise for us! While the hotel is just off I-95, the set-back and insulation compensated, allowing a good night's sleep. The facilities were excellent although the restaurant was still being remodeled. But thanks to a free shuttle to downtown Portsmouth, with a friendly driver giving good tips, we had a great time. We will come back.

Due to construction, the breakfast advertised wasn't available. Maybe this is why the nightly rate was lower than comparable places.

Bad Management in a noisy location

It was not as expensive as some of the options we had

Very noisy near highway. Staff would not follow up on double charging for the room. They said that the booking virtual card was declined when they overcharged the card and it tom two weeks to sort out the extra charge they made to my card. Not helpful at all. I will not return.

There is a Starbucks in the lobby. The breakfast menu was interesting and delicious. The bed was comfortable and the room was laid out to make good use of the space The pool and fitness center were both clean and fun to use. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Proximity to UNH AND I95

Older unit. Cable remote was difficult to figure out how to use. Sink was dirty up on arrival first stay, furnished furniture was outdated. Beds were comfy though

A Nice Hotel In A Wonderful City

The location of the property was great; nicely tucked away but very close to downtown Portsmouth and the shopping outlets and restaurants. The property is well taken care of and kept very clean.

Its unfortunate that the property does not enforce their Guests that smoke to do so away from the entrance of the hotel; Guests that are arriving or leaving have to walk past this and it is not a great impression. The smell also lingered horribly into the lobby of the hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff

The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Kelsey. They offer a free shuttle service to downtown which we appreciated. The room was comfortable.

There was no proper dining room, just a lobby. The morning we were there, the coffee machine was broken, so we ended up having breakfast downtown.
