LOCATION

The rooftop restaurant is nice, but in the winter season, it should be closed whease it is open and due to this you can not enjoy your food.

Passable

Breakfast offering was good and authentic. Staff went out of their way at breakfast. Manager and reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Taxis outside hotel so transport not difficult.

Hotel rooms are musty. No air circulation out of bathroom. Smell carries into room. Need to put open air windows into bathroom. Construction on the property and things left lying about in passage.

Heritage stay with good veg only restaurant

Heritage well preserved and maintained. Good spacious rooms with ample space. Food is good at the restaurant.

The restaurants are veg, which might be upsetting for many. Limited parking around the premise. Maybe due to the time I visited, the room cost were exorbitantly high.

Location is within walking distance to City Palace & other attractions in Udaipur.

1. Hot water is not consistent. 2. Only 2 free bottled waters throughout our 3 nights stay. 3. Thin wall - can hear noises from outside and upstairs.

Superb

Everything about the stay was perfect. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Staff was helpful. Food was amazing. The terrace had a good view. Interior design of rooms was very well-planed. The view of Lake Pichola was good. I recommend getting a big room (for example room 307, where we stayed for 2 nights).

The stay was perfect, so there was nothing we didn't like.

Good but could have been better

The location was good but too much traffic around the location. Countless horns and dust around the location.

The management was amazing , very understanding and co-operative and accommodating with everything. The breakfast was also amazing.

Bad

Please avoid this property as it's not at all value for money. Room is so small & congested. Photos will misguide you. Limited congested parking options. Restaurant food is so much costly. No lake view.. I will never book this property in future & suggest everyone to look for other better options.

Wonderful staff, but construction and facility problems

Nice foyer and bar. Outstanding staff. Upgraded to better room because of construction outside original room causing plaster to fall down on my bags. Easy to get car and tuk tuk. Staff did great job of retrieving my carry on bag (containing all my tablets and clean underwear!) from the family of a child who took it while I was waiting for checkin. A staff member kindly ride 75km to get it and bring it back. The hotel also purchased the tablets I needed at no charge and provided coffee while I waited. Thanks to all staff involved.

Bad location. Bad smell on rooftop restaurant from cow dung and stagnant water and algae on lake backwater. Be aware: no eggs, meat, ham for breakfast - limited options, very high carb choices of potatoes, cornflakes, bread, rice, bananas, no name tags identifying food. Breakfast needs to improve if Westerners to stay there. Inside part of restaurant under renovation, had to move into there on rainy day and the floor was filthy. Jackhammering and banging noise all day from construction (as per other reviews). Phone in room and wifi did not work on final day. Wifi often dropped out in room. Overall, very frustrating place.
