The turtle lamp provides a marvelous ocean view, but there are no actual turtles to be seen. The location is deserted and sunny, so it's recommended to bring an umbrella. Some visitors were able to s (Read More)pot over 8 turtles and it's a rare opportunity to see them from an ariel view. Locals sell seaweed to feed the turtles, but touching them is allowed as long as it's done respectfully.

Spacious and clean room, lovely hosts. Quiet and great value.

This was our favourite stay in our 2 months in Sri Lanka. The room is a great size with a little kitchen and breakfast balcony area. Set in really nice garden. Really quiet and the owner and his wife are lovely. Very helpful and kind. The place was very clean, we got our towels and sheets changed without asking. There is also a washing machine you can use. Breakfast was great with lots of food. Kettle and fridge in room. Think we extended our stay about 3 times! Will definitely be back. Thank you! Yan & Claire

Beautiful place! You feel like beeing in the middle of the jungle. You can see and hear lots of animals like monkeys, peacocks, squirre and many others. The room is very big. We had our own balcony with a beautiful view, our own kitchen and there was even a washing machine in our room. The host is a very kind man. He showed us all the plants in his garden like starfruit, pineapple, avocado, banana and so on. The breakfast was also very good.

In case you'd like to go to the jungle beach you should have something to drive with. Otherwise it's going to be a long hike. But we made it, so it's possible without tuk Tuk or motorbike as well.

Thank you for the nice stay!

We liked that the accomodation has a washing machine. The breakfast was nice too on a quiet terrace in the jungle. We would definitely visit Turtle Lamp again if we go back to Sri Lanka.

A perfect suite with all necessary facilities

In addition to beautiful terrace, it was a private big kitchen with all furniture attached to the room. It was also a washing machine available in the room. The owner was very friendly, polite and supportive. The local breakfast was very delicious. The fresh juice prepared from the properties' garden was awesome. The room was in the first floor with some steps that was not a problem for us. The path to the villa and the villa`s yard were very beautiful.

Excellent breakfast, we asked for vegetarian breakfast and they made it for us. Terrace was nice. Washing machine. Staff was very welcoming and caring. Beautiful dog.

Really lovely place with good facilities - kitchenette, washing machine, spacious area. Breakfast was amazing and hosts were so friendly! Room is above their home in a quiet corner of Unawatuna.
