Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival
- Upon arrival at the airport, proceed to the arrival lounge.
- A representative will assist with transportation to the hotel.
- Proceed to Kandy and check in to the hotel.
- Spend the day at leisure or if time permits, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (by self). The best times for a visit are at 10 am or in the afternoon, around 2 pm.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 Exploring Kandy
- After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a city tour of Kandy.
- Tour includes visits to Royal Botanical Gardens for the famous Spice garden and Orchid House.
- Kandy is also the venue of the annual Kandy Esala Perahera. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic to learn more about the fascinating history of the region.
- In the evening, watch a beautiful Kandy cultural dance performance.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 Nuwara Eliya
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
- Visit a tea factory plantation on the way.
- Check-in to hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
- Nuwara Eliya, the ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is a beautiful hill station and one of the coldest places on the island.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore the charming British architecture of the region.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 Yala
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Yala.
- Arrive at Yala and enjoy an evening safari.
- Yala or Ruhuna National Park is home to many animals including elephants, leopards, sambhur, crocodiles, wild buffalos as well as more than 130 bird species.
- Overnight stay at hotel in Yala.
Day 5 Galle
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Galle.
- Visit Galle Fort on the way.
- Check-in to hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
- Overnight stay at Galle.
Day 6 Colombo
- After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Colombo.
- Visit the Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery and even partake in a mangrove boat ride through the Madu River on the way (by self).
- Arrive in Colombo and enjoy a city tour of Colombo.
- Visit Fort, Sea Street, Bazaar area, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal, the BMICH, Independence Square and see the replica of Avukana Buddha.
- Overnight stay at a Colombo hotel.
Day 7 Departure
- Check-out after breakfast from the hotel.
- Proceed to the airport for the return journey.
