Very poor

No brakefast as per their promise while booking. No TV, No hot water, stains on beddings, Lizards arround the room. Cots were exposed with broker nails. Its a big disappointment for us.

Polite and helpful staff. Closer to the beach and all the restaurants. Very small parking area.

Closer to the beach. Closer to all the restaurants in the area. Big rooms and bathrooms. Big swimming pool as well. Family rooms are great for staying together.

Small parking area. Unorganized parking leads to staff dependency for pulling your car out. But the staff support in clearing the parking congestion is very much appreciated. Noisy Neighbour turning up the speaker volumes till 2Am.

Fun filled conversations and experience. Very friendly owners..

Booked a Garden view room, but got a different one after reaching, as it was full. But the room was equally good. Property was very conveniently close to the beach. Extremely friendly owner and staff, it was a fun time there. They arranged for transport every time, so you need not worry about that. Room and the pool was very clean. They let us use the pool after the allowed hours too and made sure they monitored us just in case anything happens(as we weren't great swimmers)! Had a fun time in Varkala altogether! Thankyou to the guys in The Village!

Beautiful hotel with large swimming pool located close to Varkala beach

The location is superb, its nestled close to Varkala Black beach, close enough for easy access, but far enough to feel secluded.. the pool is amazing too, big and very clean.. the hotel oozes character and the rooms are a good size too.

My experience at The Village in Varkala, Kerala, was extremely disappointing. I booked a cottage room with specific amenities, including a refrigerator, TV, A/C, balcony, and a garden view, for a significant price on Booking.com. However, upon arrival, I was given a standard room with none of the promised amenities.The list of disappointments was extensive. There was no TV in the room, and despite repeated inquiries, the staff failed to provide it during my entire stay. Additionally, there was no refrigerator in the room, as advertised, and we had to rely on the staff to keep our items cold.Worse still, there was no hot water available during my two-night stay. When I raised this issue with the owners or managers, they blamed it on the lack of sunlight affecting the solar panels.The A/C in the room was another source of frustration, as it made so much noise that it disrupted our sleep.To make matters worse, I discovered a box of used condoms in the bathroom, indicating a severe lapse in cleanliness and hygiene that the staff hadn't noticed for an unknown period.Perhaps most concerning was the stagnant swimming pool, which had become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, rendering it unusable.While the property may look appealing from the outside and on booking websites, my experience was nothing short of a disaster. It's imperative that booking websites thoroughly inspect properties before promoting them to customers to avoid such unpleasant experiences.

Brilliant location and lovely staff would stay again

The staff were lovely and the pool was fab

The pillows and mattresses were really old and could all do with replacing or a good hoover for hygiene purposes

I tried hard but cud not find any

not sea view non working WiFi non working tv running hotel with different name no room service no toiletries its ruined my trip how Booking.com suggested this really scared me to use this app

Very good

Good. Recommended for both family and groups

The rooms we got was far more better than we expected. The service of the staffs were great. Poll was also really good. Had sufficient parking space. Not too crowded. The beaches are short distance from here.

The only issue we faced was the pool timings. We were restricted to use the pool after a certain time.
