Our anniversary night started off with frustration and disappointment.

Location

We could not get in to the hotel they lock the doors to the lobby at check in time which is 5 oclock pm. They ask that you drive across town to another hotel for assistance and then redirect you back to the same location which is still locked. Frustrated we chose to wait in the hotel restaurant around the corner only to find that our keys were in the restaurant at their reception stand. The whole process left us feeling unwelcome and frustrated. Poor management practices and customer service.

We had a wonderful time as usual and will be returning next year!

Breakfast was amazing! Rooms are lovely and the staff are fantastic! The location is perfect. Love staying at The Grand!

If I had to make a suggestion, having a small refrigerator in the room would be very helpful. We had to keep replenishing our cooler with ice to keep our items cold.

Messed up my date of reservation right away, no person at desk on check in, couldnt get the app to work on the elevator, open key didnt work to get in the hotel, 550.00 for a room we were in for 14 hours!!! Still charged me foe 2 nights when we were there for one. not impressed unfortunately

Not as grand as it used to be

great location, previous stays there were great.

There are on site staff, especially an issue when you have a problem and we had several this time. If you can get staff at a nearby property on the phone, they are very helpful. We had to go up to the other location every time we needed something. Some of the time we just gave up. The hotel looks like it is in need of attention. the carpet in our room was severely stained, looked like they tried to cover it up with an area rug but it was still very obvious.

A lovely building in a great location.

Lovely building, great location with excellent parking, lovely big bright room with a comfortable bed.

Openkey app didn't work, had to walk to the main hotel to get access card to the building and our room. Continental breakfast was very basic. The Grand is a B and B not a hotel in the traditional sense, for the amount of money we paid we were very disappointed after looking forward to our stay. Sustainability none existent, single use plastics used at breakfast, no recycling bins!
