Great Hostel

Staff Are Super Friendly & Couldnt be more helpful!! Location is fantastic right in the centre but on a back street so nice and quiet! The Hostel is a Great Price to include breakfast too!

The only draw back is there was only 2 working showers and 2 toilets so make sure you plan around busy times. Also if you want breakfast get in quick as the kitchen isnt big enough for all and gets super hot.

Lovely vibe and location for budget hostel - nice free breakfast but showering is a mission!

Both the location and price of this hostel are great. You are 10 minutes from Edinburgh old town and right near the new town so it's a great based for walking around and seeing the best Edinburgh has to offer. Stay true to your google maps directions, it is sending you to the right place, next to the pub and it is 3 hostels on top of each other - confusing if not in the know! When you are in, overall it is good quality if small. There are less than 10 rooms in the whole place and I stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was cosy, beds are fine to sleep on and the lockers are a decent size. It's a nice touch to have breakfast included and there is a nice vibe from both the staff and the guests.

The size of the communal area is a lot more compact than it appears in the photos - this means that at breakfast time if everyone is in there together it can be quite squeeze, especially as the staff member on duty tends to take an entire table at one end as a makeshift reception. As a digital nomad, I was hoping to work here which is possible but I would say very time dependent. With the hustle and bustle of breakfast and evening this is just not an option at those times. I had to move to the bedroom on one occasion to join a call. As someone in many calls this wouldn't be the ideal location for me for a longer period but doable for a day or two. I also have to mention the shower situation at this place as it is unlike anything I've seen before. If I was naming I'd say you are getting the 'Harry Potter experience' as you are practically showering in a cupboard and I have to admit it wasn't my preference or enjoyable to squeeze in and then have to dry and dress under the dripping shower head. I can see space wise why this decision was made to squeeze in 3 showers for all the guests but I found it stressful and would be enough reason for me not to book here again unless I had shower facilities elsewhere.

Great little hostel, would book again for a short stay

Amazing location from the bus station and Waverley. Nice new rooms and comfortable beds with all the amenities you need in a hostel. Staff were very helpful when I lost my AirPods - I called and they went to find them in my room immediately. Would have been easy to palm me off but they were really obliging and took the time to look for me :)

The decor is clearly on the newer side and has a nice fitout..but its not going to stay that way for long if its not looked after properly. Examples: - thick dust on top of all the outlets in my bunk area - Two of the four showers were out of order. - functioning showers not draining properly and mould visible in most seams/cornices of the space - No soap in the toilets although sinks are provided.

Location

The rooms are mixed for men and women. There is no room to get dressed. I changed in the toilet and there were only 2 toilets. My clothes got dirty while I was dressing because the toilet was dirty. Also I got sick because the room was cold

The location is at the city center, every direction to walk always find awesome sights to explore. The price is amazing, the kitchen is exactly like the fotos, they even have 4 recycling rubbish/waste. Breakfast is included (eggs, toast, butter, jams, cereals).The toilet and shower rooms are clean. Helpful teams, 24h reception, speedy wifi, USB charging port, luggage storage before check-in, got everything i need. Truly a best deal. Would definitely come back

At the time of my stay, the shower room have 4 cabins and 2 of them were out of order and 2 toilets (but extremely clean ). Should wait a little bit for our turn to shower. One of the shower's hotwater was not working, had inform the Team and they solved it immediately The location is at 2nd floor with stairs (no elevator, like mostly hostels), for travellers with large luggage would be a challenge. Lucky i was travelling light, with backpack. No curtains at the beds, luckily i had throws and used it as an emergency curtain. So everything's sorted

Disappointing

Poor organisation

Staff was very welcoming and friendly.

I had a disappointing experience at this hostel. The showers weren't working, and breakfast was chaotic it's not the typical served meal; instead, you have to prepare it yourself. Compared to other hostels I've stayed in, this one seems disorganized.
