Wonderful!

A wonderful place to stay. Away from the road so very quiet. Lovely bedroom with private terrace overlooking the beautiful pool and gardens.. Bedroom very large with lovely decor and comfy bed. Beautiful bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities. Room cleaned daily.Great breakfast, friendly helpful and welcoming staff. Just a short walk from the beach and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Jungle meets beach escape

You are in the heart of the jungle but youre just a 5 minute walk to the beach. I watched monkeys from my balcony, I heard birds, lizards and crickets. It was incredible.

The freestanding bath is more for show than usage. There is no tap to fill up and the shower head would take days!

Great place to relax and feel like you are hidden in the jungle.

A true oasis set back from the hustle and bustle of the road to the beach. Very peaceful and quiet, just birds and monkeys. The staff were always very friendly and attentive. There was always a lot of choice at breakfast and Seafood Medley we ate in the restaurant for dinner was so good we had it 2 nights in a row! We had a huge room overlooking the pool with an outside bath and resident tree frog. Lady doing massage was very good.

Magnificent Hotel - Go for it !

An exceptionally charming hotel, built on a cliff with the jungle all around! For lovers of peace and nature, this place is a real gem! The staff is so friendly and always smiling. The breakfast is copious: a wide choice, from continental to Sri Lankan, plus a plate of fresh fruits! You can also book ayurvedic massage sessions (20 for 90 minutes) and yoga sessions at unbeatable prices. The hotel also hires out scooters for excursions. The superior room with its view of the jungle is breathtaking! We had the visit from purple-faced langur and toque macaque right opposite our balcony! Don't worry: their presence is not invasive. Just don't feed them! Finally, you can also dine at the hotel, which offers very fresh seafood: tuna (a real treat for gourmets!), tiger prawns, etc. If you eat out, you'll pay a lot more for the fish! This hotel is just magnificent and has won our hearts.

Excellent room and pool. Breakfast needs improving

We loved the upgrade to the superior room. Perfectly located to access the pool and with huge room and bathroom. Pool was maintained everyday, very clean.

Breakfast was disappointing and felt like left overs from the dinner before. Many totally cold dishes like lentils and curry - coffee undrinkable. Extra services, dinner and taxi booking offered are in line with extortionate prices of the unawatuna area.
