Lovely people at the homestay but very poor experience.

The staff at the homestay were very nice and friendly people. They tried their best to make me comfortable while I was waiting outside in the hallway for about 3 hours after a very exhausting day while someone else was using my room.

After a very long and exhausting day of working with little to no sleep the night before because of my flight, I arrived there at 4:30 PM and was first told that my room will be ready at 5:30 PM, which I happily accepted with a smile on my face. At 5:30, I was told that my room was still occupied and asked if I can rest on the divan in the common hallway till 7:30PM while my room was being used by someone else. This was because they allowed the previous person to stay in my room till 7:00 PM because they had a flight at 10 although they were supposed to check out at 11AM, making sure that my room would be available at 12. They basically double booked my room and asked me to wait in the hallway for 3 hours while someone else was using it. This is one of the most unpleasant experiences I've had from a place that is this expensive which was only made worse by the extremely long day I had.

Nice beach stay

Property is beatiful and super clearn for the price range and the property manger is very attentitive that he responded the breakfast time change also providng hotwater/bowl for my kid to eat her instant noodle missing Japanese flavor after two weeks travel within India. It's walking distant for one minutes from beach with few tourists; nice to take a walk in the morning or evening.

Sounds are transpassing easiy to the room we stayed along the corridor. There was another family with a kid on the corridor which acceptable as we went sleep like nine but music playing in the early morning can be refrained by just earphones?

The location is superb it being close to the airport, beach, Padmanabhswamy temple and Veli tourist village is also nearby. The caretaker Mr. Gopalakrishnan is very very courteous and polite and we had yummy South Indian breakfasts for all the days we stayed here. The washroom could have better amenities like hooks for hanging clothes and a stepstool. Otherwise it is now our go to place for staying in Thiruvanthapuram.
