    Great place to stay for Ben Lomond hikes. Quite an old building, but well equipped and maintained. Fully equipped kitchen area, lots of tables to eat (despite a large number of guests). Spacious lounge to relax in the evening. Rooms OK, comfortable beds (dorm). Some food and refreshments available at the reception.
    The only issue was no wifi in the lounge/rest area (one needs to sit in the kitchen or own room upstairs to access internet). Common bathrooms could be cleaned a bit more often, especially in the evening when many people use them.

    I would stay here again and found the hostel to be very clean and well managed
    Excellent Youth Hostel and theyre doing more renovations. Staff was so friendly and helpful!

    Great waystop on the West highland way
    It was very warm and welcoming at the end of a long day of hiking. The building and the location are both spectacular, and are worth a visit just for those. The hostel was fully functional with kitchen and Laundry. We stayed in the double room, which felt more like a hotel. Toilets and showers were clean and functional.

    Beautiful views, friendly staff
    The location on the West Highland Way...and the scenery...can't be beat. We stayed in a private, ensuite room. It was basic, but clean. Staff were very friendly. We had dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch and thought all were very good. We were able to use the washer and dryer to clean and dry our clothes, which was much appreciated!
    Nothing particular that we didn't like. It's just very basic, as one would expect from a hostel.

    I understand this is a hostel but 12 for cheap sausages and mash is a joke! I wish we had eaten up the road for a coupl

    The personnel and the location is beautiful, there is a nice lounge where you can drink your coffee and look over the lake
    The doors of the rooms make a lot of noise and it was cold in the showers room
