Good hotel in a good location with small weaknesses

First of all, many thanks to Chante(l) at the reception for the great welcome and making it possible for us to get rooms with a view of the Khalifa. We also liked the location of the hotel. You can walk to the Khalifa \ Dubai Mall area in about 20 minutes Breakfast at the hotel is definitely okay, it costs around EUR 18 per person. You can of course also have breakfast out, but you won't get away much cheaper. On some evenings there was live music in the lobby with great artists. Well worth a listen. The gym and pool are perfectly fine and we enjoyed using them. There is a small mini-mart in the hotel itself, which makes it easy if you want to buy a quick snack or drink or have forgotten something. The rooms are a normal size, there is nothing special to mention.

The cleanliness could have been better. Unfortunately, used dishes were not taken out of the room and it was only vacuumed on explicit request. There were three of us in the room and we asked for 3 towels and 3 pillows. Unfortunately only 2 new towels were ever brought, only after a call to reception was another towel brought. There was also a lack of little things, such as refilling coffee in the room or new mugs, etc. We had to call reception almost every day because something had been forgotten. But then it was dealt with immediately. There is also very little storage space. We lived out of our suitcases for the most part.

Our recent family stay at the Rove Hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were captivated by the hotel's unique ambiance. The funky and modern design of the hotel instantly caught our attention and set the tone for a memorable experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the exciting New Year's activities that the Rove had to offer. The 360 Photo Booth was a blast! We had a blast capturing fun and memorable moments with our family, and it added a special touch to our New Year celebrations. It was a delightful surprise that made our stay even more enjoyable. We appreciate the excellent room service and the warm hospitality of the staff. We can't wait to return for another stay at the Rove Hotel in the future.

Before arriving, we had specific requests: all seven rooms on the same floor, an early check-in, and clarification on whether my presence was needed for check-in. Despite confirming these requests on the phone, we encountered problems upon arrival. Firstly, the rooms were not ready at the agreed-upon time, causing inconvenience. Secondly, the rooms were not on the same floor as promised, disrupting our plans. Additionally, there was a miscommunication about my presence during check-in, contradicting what we had been told. Furthermore, the room setup was suboptimal as the rooms couldn't comfortably accommodate the provided futon beds. In the future, we hope the hotel can improve communication and provide accurate information to avoid such issues and enhance the guest experience.

Good facilities but terrible food & beverage service & food

- Extremely clean property with good size and very clean rooms also with large vanity benches in bathroom which was nice - Great to have washing and dryer machines in hotel. - Reception and housekeeping staff were very good, efficient and helpful, but thats where it ends as far as any staff went. - Walking distance to the Dubai metro.

-Went to Dubai for NYE and visited the Dubai mall in the morning and the whole entire city centre was cordoned off by around 3pm and it took me at least 2 & 1/2 hours to get through the security on the streets to manage to get back to the hotel. Guests should have been given special passes so we could have easily shown them to security for easy entry and exit out of this this zone. It was just total chaos. - Food & beverage service is shocking and was the worst Ive ever experienced in a hotel and extremely slow, took at least 20 mins or more to get a drink at any time when it wasnt even busy. Just told to take a seat and kept waiting. - The bar told me there was no ice for my drink - Told me they couldnt make my drink and sent me to the pool bar only for the pool bar to send me back to lobby bar again and all of a sudden he could make it - The breakfast of 69 AED was a total waste of money had coffee and ordered 2 dishes off the special menu and both dishes were served totally cold and were inedible and dont know what they made the scrambled eggs out of it as it didnt even taste like eggs. - Its also the only hotel Ive been to that doesnt let you charge food & beverage to your room when they already have your card details on file and room has been paid in full. - Rang 0 to order extra milk for my room as reception advised when checking in and it took 3 phone calls before any was finally delivered - All and all the negatives totally outweighed the positives for this hotel and wouldnt book again at this hotel or chain
