A welcoming stay in a hotel with real character and great staff

Staff were very friendly Afternoon sherry and cookies a nice touch Building had real victorian character to make it feel quite special

Maybe a bit too much Christmas decoration inside but fun nonetheless Breakfast would have been nice with yoghurt and also fried eggs to go with the other hot items (boiled eggs a bit hard/dry)

This hotel is run like a bed-and-breakfast, for the price you can beat it.

Location was nice and safe. Breakfast was good. Downstairs lobby area and sitting area were decorated for Christmas. Very impressive. Hot coffee all day and night, cookies and Sherry for the evening was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Stunning Christmas decor was an unexpected treat! Rooms are lovely, the hallways are beautifully decorated with antiques - a most unusual and beautiful property with friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend this hotel if you are going to the Fillmore for a show, as it is a 10 minute walk through what feels like a reasonably safe neighbourhood, lots of great restaurants within 2-3 blocks.

Slight mustiness when we first entered the room - windows open, so we gave it a quick air out and it was not a problem and did not impact our stay.
